The Siglent SHS810 is a 100MHz handheld, two-channel digital
oscillo for viewing electrical signals and has a 6,000-count
multimeter mode for measuring AC and DC voltage. The oscillo
has a real-time sample rate of 1GS/s and a record length of 2Mpts
for acquiring detailed waveforms. Four math functions plus FFT
(fast fourier transform), and automatic and cursor measurements
allow an in-depth analysis of waveforms. Edge, Pulse, Video,
Slope, and Alternative triggers allow isolation of specific
signals. The oscillo's automatic triggering recognizes
signal patterns and optimizes triggering, timebase and amplitude
settings. The oscillo has a recorder that captures up to 18
hours of waveforms.
Additional specifications include a rise time of 3.5ns. The unit
has a 5.7" color TFT-LCD. The oscillo has a USB host port
for storing data on a 4GB-maximum flash drive and a USB device
port for connecting to a compatible PC. Operating menus and help
display in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English,
Arabic, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese,
Korean, and Italian languages. The unit operates on a
rechargeable battery pack or a 100 to 240VAC, 50/60Hz
adapter/charger (both included). It meets CAT II 300V and CAT III
300V safety standards.

Oscillos are electrical testing devices used to verify the
functionality of an electrical signal generator. Oscillos
measure an electrical signal over time, and display the waveform
signals in a visual graph. The waveform shows the sweeps (or
refresh) of voltage on a vertical (Y) axis, and can display time
on a horizontal (X) axis. Details of a waveshape demonstrate the
signal over time. Oscillos can display in a digital or
analog view. An analog oscillo has continuous waveform
display, typically in a luminous phosphor. Some oscillos can
display more than one channel and type of measurement
simultaneously. Some oscillos can capture waveform signals
to memory, and recall them. Oscillos may provide real-time
intensity grading. Some oscillos have the ability to adjust
frequency of display. A constant image will display if a signal
is shown at a high frequency. Oscillos can be powered with
batteries or electricity, or may have a built-in generator. They
may have Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or European
Conformity (CE) certification, or a specific category (CAT)
safety rating, such as CAT5e. Oscillos are commonly used for
testing, measuring, and inspecting in science, engineering,
telecommunications, automotive, and industry applications.
Siglent manufactures electronics test and measurement instruments
for research and development, production-line testing, and
electronic field service applications. The company, founded in
2002 and headquartered in Shenzhen, China, meets International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001:2000 and
14001:2004.
