Not a $7000.00 hearing aid set but a good alternative.
I'm 64 years old with severe hearing loss for most of my adult life. The loss is in the stirrup anvil connection. Internally I have the hearing of an 18 year old. I've owned several conventional sets and they have always lacked until now I can no longer hear with them thru the ears. Metal implants for the bone conduction aids available in the US are totally unacceptable with my beliefs, not to mention the $35,000.00 to get them. At least with these I can hear for the 1st time in 3 years. Durability is yet to be determined.Edit: Hearing aids themselves are still functioning well, not able to use in a car while traveling, I just hear a rumble there. As others have noted, the problem is the 2nd swivel. Mine broke on the left side at this swivel after about 6 months use. I used electrical tape to keep it together but it never fit flat so it wasn't very audible with out holding it flat by hand. The right side broke yesterday after about 10 months use. Bear in mind I have spent over $20,000.00 purchasing several different conventional pairs of aides in my lifetime. Most breaking and needing repair within 9 months. So I am ordering a new set today!

Mechanical defect
The headphones themselves work very well. However, they're made to swivel 90 degrees each. When doing so, I noticed that the left unit moved crisply, while the right one felt loose. Each is secured by a tiny Philips screw. I noticed the right screw jiggling. Tried to tighten it, and it just kept turning forever -- its thread (or that of the hole it screws into) -- was stripped.Returned forthwith to Amazon for refund. This is both bad design (why add the swivel function?) and sloppy manufacturing and quality control.

Not the best idea.
It kind of works, it picks up the tv sound just fine, BUT every other sound also. The cable is too short to get it away from you body, thus you move you will hear it.

They work but not for everyone
So these bone conduction headphones are cool technology but don’t work the best for everyone. My aunt is elderly and we have been trying multiple types of hearing aids. This again works for her but the vibrations are annoying to her so we know she will be intolerant of this set. This set does put out a bunch of vibrations as myself and my family did try these on as well. Personally i felt the traditional hearing headphones worked quite a bit better with less annoyance of the vibration. I could see the vibes getting to me after awhile. To each their own, you may very well like these. We felt it best to try them out and find the ones that work best. IT seems that is how most people end up doing it. For what this is, it works, just not for us.

Wonderful life changing device
These are a wonderful value and do the job very well. I cannot wear in ear hearing aids. For me bone conduction aids and other bone conduction headphones have allowed me to hear tones I have never heard in my life. I wore the device today for the first time. While inside my house I hear birds sing. This is a new experience for me.At first it takes a little trial and error to find the frequency best for you. Also at first there is a little extraneous nose but that goes away after a few minutes.I tried expensive hearing aids in the neighborhood of $5000 and more. Not only are these economic but for me the sound is far better.

Everything worked great but...
I used these in conjunction with my current hearing aids and WOW what a difference! Speaker placement a little problematic but solved that with a little effort. I thought that I had it made when after only two uses the headset swivel broke on one side. Plastic is brittle and any pressure causes it to snap. Then the next use ended with the other side breaking. So one star or less for quality of material! Five Stars for the effectiveness of the product. Five Stars for Amazon's Customer Satisfaction program. I found the same (looking) set on Ebay coming from China for about 10-20% of the price but won't order based upon my history buying things directly from China. I'm going to try another pair with the hope that the poor material quality in this pair was just a fluke.

Headphones are as described
I bought the headphones to watch tv without disturbing anyone. They arrived in 3 days and took less than 5 minutes to connect. The directions that came with the headphones were very easy to understand. They work great and I especially like that the volume is not limited.
