The most effective product for oil pastels
Oil pastels just never dry. This fixative is the best way to preserve your artwork that I’ve found so far. The manufacturer is well known for their top of the line products.

Perfect!
I've never used this before, and I painted a 22" round painting. I was nervous about applying it at first, but it went on perfectly and leaves a satin finish. I put 3 light coats on, and I can touch the oil pastel without it smearing or getting on my hands.

Nice product.
Thin layered sheen to make oil pastel painting look nice and helps doesn’t smear. Smell was not too strong but still have to use it for outside. Runs out rather quickly. Wish cheaper.

Works for drying oil pastels.
Does not discolor or yellow oil pastels. Dries to the touch. Feels a little waxy when dry but painting won’t smudge or fade. Spray 2 or 3x’s allowing each layer to dry before spraying again. I then place a layer of glacine over the piece and place a book on top to soak up any extra oil. Afterwards, the piece will be dry to the touch and can be stored as you wish. I am pleasantly surprised with this product and will definitely buy again.

Multiple coats requires
I recently started working with oil pastels and needed something to stop the smudging. This spray works very well to stop smudging and the transfer of oil pastels. I would recommend spraying this outside it in a spray booth because it has a very strong smell. It’s very easy to use just spray is sweeping motions across surface. I noticed it’s necessary to do 2-3 coats to fully lock in the color. The texture of the oil pastel changed a little bit but the overall color and appearance stays the same.

Works Great!
I bought this to seal my daughter's oil pastel pieces, and this works great! I do three light coats, and the spray does it's job. Will continue to purchase this as we run out!

Fixative.
I purchased this for my higher end art projects as recommend by another professional artist. Also, for use on the Sennelier oil pastels themselves, as I read that other fixatives did not do well on sennelier oils.Strangely, there is no mixing ball inside the can, but this is my first can and don't know if that is the way they are or not.It sprays on just fine, it takes a few layers, but the end result is suitable for preservation.
