I bought this as one of many gifts for my son for his 50th birthday. Actually I bought two (the second by mistake). When they arrived I opened up both packages to check them out. I'm glad I did and glad I ordered two. As it turned out one of the two was defective, specifically the F on one side of the mug where it says "F word" was badly worn, half of the letter totally missing. It was either a manufacturing error or someone else had previously bought it and put it in the dishwasher or microwave, messing up the labeling. I know in the description it says "DISHWASHER & MICROWAVE SAFE," but based on my experience I'd recommend washing the item by hand just to be safe. The other one I bought was perfectly fine. Despite the flaw, I'm still giving the item a 5 star rating. It was a great choice and my son really got a kick out of it.
