Creamy, black Wax
True black wax, very creamy and easy to use. Covered mahogany finish well and buffed to a nice sheen.

Used as a base for Amy Howard Dark Antique wax - - beautiful!
This was my first time attempting to antique a wood frame.I read up on it, watched countless youtube videos and bought this, a couple of brushes and a tub of Amy Howard Dark Antique wax.At the time of my order, the Jolie brand of black wax was out of stock so that's the reason I purchased the dark wax in the Amy Howard brand. It was stupidly easy to transform a beautifully shaped faux wood mirror frame to something that looks like a true antique.I've never, ever used this product or done anything like this before and I am thrilled with the results!I don't have the budget to spend hundred of $ on a large, framed mirror but really wanted one for above our credenza.I found the perfectly sized one at Target. Online, it looked like it had a wood frame. I picked it up and it felt more like plastic. Maybe it was wood, but if it was, it was cheap and not of high quality. It was on sale, the size and shape were perfect so I really wanted to find a way to make this work.I had no idea what I was doing, but after watching several youtube videos, I gave it a shot. Not only was this super easy, but the results are amazing.I brushed this clear wax on first, followed with the dark wax.Oh my. Instant upgrade and improvement. It took me a few experimental strokes to find that stippling followed by light and stippling brush strokes worked the best to give that "old wood" shaded effect. It honestly took me a total of 15 minutes to go from cheap frame to rich aged wood. The only negative I can mention, is that 24 hours later, it still feels quite waxy. This is a frame and it's hanging on the wall, so it won't be touched or handled very much. Had I used this on a chair or bench, I'd be concerned about this, but in my case, I am over the moon happy.

Good product!
I painted an old farmhouse cabinet and the fern was a bit brighter than I wanted. This was the perfect addition to tone it down and adds a lot of character. Easy to use, little pricey for what you get.

Amazing!
Well, I was a little worried that I was going to ruin my cherry cabinets which were expensive! It’s been 10 years & I clean & polish regularly but they were not looking very good. I almost used shoe polish! I read the reviews on this product. I was very nervous it was going to look chalky & dull. I did a test spot underneath & it looked ok. I really should have done a before & after halfway through & I’m upset I didn’t. But while halfway through I noticed the cupboards I hadn’t done almost had a bluish tone to them compared to this nice rich black! I wiped the product on & only left it for a few mins & then wiped off the excess & buffed. They look amazing! I didn’t realize how faded they were!I bought the small tin as the rest of my cabinets are white. Very easy to use! Easy to wash if by tile that I may have accidentally got it on before hubby could see. Easy to wash off hands & no bad smell. Highly recommended!

Very small can for price!
I did not pay attention to the size of this wax. I was shocked when it arrived and was so small for over $20.00 I always use Ann Sloan products but ran out of the clear wax. I will never make that mistake again.
