I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. I bought this tarp for $16.99 not expecting much. The stitching was seam taped along the inner ridge seam. I seam sealed the outer stitching with a silicon sealant. I also sealed up the stitching all around the hook. Took it camping in pouring down rain and had zero leaks. It held up to some fairly strong gusts at times and ended up being my new beater tarp. It's a steal under $20 and I plan on buying a few more. If you buy it be sure to seal the outer stitching and all around the hook.

I purchased two of these for my son and I to use on a backpacking trip with our scout troop. When I opened mine up one of the guide lines had a fray in it, luckily I could still use it and tied it up over my hammock and it worked perfectly. We enjoyed our trip and when I got home I contacted the company about the line. They responded pretty quickly (I emailed them without an answer, then emailed again a week later and received a response within the day so I feel some how the first email got lost). They sent me a whole new tarp as they don't sell separate items, I just received the new tarp and excited to be able to use the new one. The tarp is great and the customer service matches

The tarp definitely feels like a good product, but be aware that the bundled stakes and paracord feel very cheap. Especially, the paracord that is supposed to be used as ridgeline, it feels like paracord 95 and pales in comparison with expensive american 275.Personally I decided to buy additional high quality 550 paracord to tie this tarp, and will be using the inexpensive paracord bundled with the tarp for anything else like guylines.I do appreciate the quality of the tarp and the fact that it came with its own drawstring bag besides a smaller bag for the stakes and paracord.

Love this every time because it is easy to set up and to tear it down. Plus saves lots of space when putting it in the back of my truck.

Having several kids means having lots of gear. My daughters wanted to go on an overnight hike and I was one tarp short so this filled the void. Quite impressed with the quality for the price. Sure, its a little heavier than a fancy fabric tarp but we aren't thru-hiking so it doesn't matter that much. It rained for a couple hours and both hammock and occupant were totally dry, which is the main goal. Win.

I'm a small woman and really trying hard to get very light items for my pack and when I saw good reviews and 1.8lbs I thought this was a winner. But as soon as I picked it up I knew it weighed more than it claimed. I weighed it and it is actually 2.5lbs quite a big difference if you care about keeping your pack light like I need to. On the fence about returning it because it seems good quality and most tarps are around 2.5lbs but was really hoping for something lighter.

I would say that this little tarp has allot to offer, the size is great and the light weight and compact form of storage is amazing. Recently took it out when I went to the beach with my girl and it was raining in the morning so as a precaution I set it up and it did rain for a bit later and we didn’t get wet, the only con I have is that there isn’t enough rope so I would suggest getting some extra and that will come a long way other than that is perfect.
