They do not evenly distribute the sugar water onto the grid surface
The bees do get some nectar, but its a struggle for them. The feeding grid does not fill with the sugar water evenly.It is hard to regulate since the dispenser is friction fit. If you have it too tight, it does not allow enough nectar flow. If you have it too loose, its too loose and allows too much nectar to spill out. This design is sold by many vendors, but I suggest not purchasing this product.Overall, in my opinion, I was dissapointed with this purchase.WE have to love our bees and this didn't show that much love.Hope this helps you. The bees like them
The bees love them and we have many fewer drowned bees. They seem to tolerate the cold (around freezing), as they quickly thaw. They are light weight, so as they empty they have a tendency to blow to the ground with high winds.
