Excellent piece of ebony block.
Fast delivery of exactly what i was looking for a nice piece of ebony hardwood.

NOT Ebony.
Not real ebony. Appears either stained / dyed or burnt. Drilled into this blank to make some dowel plugs and found the colour didn’t even make it half way through. Smells awful too. AVOID!

Not suitable handle material
This was intended for a single piece handle, however with the various cracks in the piece it is not suitable at all (it cannot even be cut into scales and applied in a different way). Whilst it is a natural product, based on the description and intended uses, it should have gone through a full quality review, however it looks like it has not been seasoned properly.This would have been a zero rating but would not allow it.

Dimensions not quite as sold
Although the hardwood looks good, the dimensions were not as advertised. The block was narrower and also not cut properly, with angled sides that need to be cut off to work with. Not good value for money as to much wasted wood.
