Psychological Testing and Assessment: An Introduction to Tests and Measurement

I chose this rating because I am a psychology major going for my Master's Degree in Psychology. This textbook is very informative, and easy to understand. Their close-up sections give great examples of the covered information sections. It also a great glossary of terms in the back for definitions with page numbers following definitions so you can read more about the term without having to search through the book or chapter for the concept. Even though, by this time in your course work you think you are done with statistics, it does gives you a refresher section on statistics for scoring assessment tools. I recommend this textbook for any graduate student studying Testing and Measurement, and Assessment.

Basic, but essential, book. It's well-formatted and presents information simply and straightforwardly. It enriched the research aspects of my studies. Would recommend to someone who needs this for class, or simply wants to deepen their understanding of these essential behavioral science concepts!

This textbook was well put together and easy to follow. It does take time to read each chapter because it is pretty in-depth, so start early or be prepared to spend a good amount of time on your assignments.

I always expect college texts to be dry and boring. Especially when in a subject that I am not very interested in but have to take to move further in my degree. My school has picked this book for my masters level counseling path and I was not looking forward to reading it during an eight week time span. However, I was plesently surprised. It was VERY readable and actually interesting and a fun read (most parts). It was broken up into easy to read and understand chapters despite the tough subject matter. I really enjoyed how they integrated history and today's current uses of many of the tests and measures we use on a regular basis in the counseling and psychological career field. I already work in the field of mental health, but am working on furthering my education at this time to move up in my job and am actually enjoying the class that goes with this text due to the text book! I can rarely say this and have been in school a very long time. I very much dislike most of the Corey texts which seem to be the standard and am glad this author took a shot at a different type of text.

I had to get this book for a class I am taking for a psychology degree, and let me just say that I hate this book. The language is dense and convoluted. I can't go more than a page without my mind wandering. I did not have a choice in this book, so I had to get it. However, if you have any choice in whether or not you get this book, do yourself a favor and get another book.

Very applicable to my graduate level coursework. This text is well written and easy to use. The illustrations are very helpful and the end of chapter reviews and vocabulary were helpful for my assignments and studying.

I bought this book for my online course very hard to read and understand to many pages to the chapters. This book was very confusing, would not recommend this book to others

This book was used but looks brand new. I am beyond impressed with this vendor! Its also a really well written text.
