K&N Engine Air Filter: High Performance, Premium, Powersport Air Filter: Fits 2003-2019 HONDA (NPS50 Ruckus, CHF50 Metropolitan, NPS50S Ruckus) HA-0502

My Ruckus was running just a little rich and I figured I'd try this before re-jetting. I'm at 6000' elevation and the air is a bit thin here.I'm not going to say there was a night and day difference but it definitely is running a bit better. I figure, depending on your elevation and your current set up, you might need to re-jet... but I didn't have to. I'd give it 5 stars but the fitment is a hair off, just a tiny bit smaller than the OEM. I don't think it's enough for dust to get through but I thought I should take that into account for the review.

Rucks run slightly rich so this is fine even at sealevel. I did jet my carb up to 77 which balanced things out. It was fine out of the box though I just want a little extra power

Although this product did not work on my Honda Metropolitan CHF50, causing a decided decrease in performance, I found B&N's customer service to be amazing. Moreover, B&N provided shipping for me to return the item at their expense to test it, since they normally have no problem with this item used in a CHF50.Here's how excellent customer service was. I sure wish OTHER companies would make it so easy.1. A card was packaged with the filter with contact information right on it; I did not have to search the web.2. I called a toll free number and spoke immediately with a live person!3. The live person transferred my call in seconds to a technician, who did not place me in a queue, but engaged immediately in problem solving.4. The technician reiterated the company's "100% guarantee" and asked good questions. He offered specific suggestions for me to test the filter (i.e. replace it with the original stock filter and compare performance.) He left me with his name, direct extension, and email. He indicated that since problems are so unexpected, he wanted to test the filter to find out what the issue is; normally, he would have authorized a "field destroy" and then reimbursed my money. Instead, he wanted to actually address a potential issue by testing it.5. After I emailed him back reporting that the engine performed as expected/needed with the old filter, but not with the K&N filter, he immediately emailed me clear instructions (send the item and an invoice back), sent a UPS pre-paid label, indicated that my refund would be processed immediately, and sent a return authorization number. There was no need for me to hunt down the return info, nor to return it "through Amazon"; K&N wanted it back to deal with the problem, and were willing to cover the costs to make that happen.This sure made it all easy and indicated a concern for product quality, as well as customer experience, that is completely uncommon in most of our online retail world. This product cost me about $25 and sure, I wish it had worked. But even though it was not an expensive product, K&N treated the situation as if it was.I'd recommend this company even though, in my particular case, the specific product did not work for me.

Perfect fit for my Ruckus. Pays for itself in less than a year. Worth investment. I don't know if it will improve gas mileage or power output, but on a 50cc scooter I don't know this going to make a giant difference.

Filter too thick doesnt fit moped.

Used this to replace the stock filter in my Suzuki Hayate 125. The stock filter is paper with foam on both sides and cannot be cleaned only blown out with compressed air and then a pricey replacement and hard to get. This filter uses no oil and have to use special synthetic KN filter cleaner and let dry. Had to modify the air filter mounting panel to use this but it was worth it. Much better throttle response at low and midrange.

Buyer Beware. I'm sure the filter is fine and works as promised but I have a 2014 Honda Ruckus and the carbs will have to be rejetted in order for this filter to work correctly. I have stashed it away until my 1 year warranty has expired so I don't void it.

This K&N filter KINDA FITS its not a direct fit. I slapped it in initially and half way through the ride on my 2007 Ruckus it BOGGED hard. It had fallen out of place because the element is too small. I had to use some "StripCaulk" to seal mine into place because it just wasnt working for me. BUY AN OEM REPLACEMENT for your Ruckus. You'll thank me later.
