Beautiful sturdy table

We love this table and chair set (this particular link is for the table only, we purchased the matching chairs/bench on Amazon as well). The product is made well and looks beautiful. In the past we’ve just went with IKEA and finally wanted a more “adult” product. You can tell by the feel and weight of this product that it’s great quality for the price. Don’t hesitate!

Good Table But Miserable To Assemble

This review is complex. The product quality is "OK", but there were problems. So I will divide my comments into categories...Material: The wood is OK. It seems stained, but unfinished. A spray of polyurathane would have helped the look. But I can do that thinned and brushed. The top of my table was alternated sanded boards and quarter-sawn boards. But they were uniformly-alternated, so you could consider that a deliberate design feature. But aware of that. This is not a sanded-smooth top.It is mostly solid wood. The legs are sturdy and there are cross-braces. The design is strong.Assembly: But that's where the good part ends. I didn't mind the self-assembly work. I've built a deck, shed, fence. raised garden beds, self-assembly bookcases, and paneled the basement. I am accustomed to amateur construction. But the assembly design is horrid! The hex-wrench tightening gives you about a quarter of a machine-screw turn and fitting the hex wrench each time is difficult into the machine screw top from lack of space. You CAN'T get at most of the leg machine screws directly without bright light and a steady hand.I even cut off a short piece of the hex wrench that fit into a socket wrench and the opening was too small to allow that to work. So parts of the assembly are maddeningly difficult. Pocket screws would have been SO MUCH easier and just as strong. Many of the attachments are a dowel and a metal-threaded tap hole for the machine screw. That's good, but there is too much movement. Some of the braces and leg-assemblies don't line up. I had to stand on some of the assemblies on a good flat floor to force them flat and then use the hex wrench to force then tight. Some pieces of wood were slightly bowed, but enough tightening got them attached flat.Standing on the assemblies helped, but some braces are at slightly odd angles. Functionally solid, I think, but anyone looking at them would see the disuniformity.Instructions: There are no written instructions. It is all just sketches. Well, at least there wasn't 100 parts, but written instructions would have helped. Just one more thing that could have been better.Odd things: I opened the box on the floor on the side that seemed to be indicated. It should have been the other way. It took an hour to get all the parts separated. There were straps holding the tabletop to the individual boxes of parts. And the straps were attached to the bottom of the tabletop. The instructions didn't mention removing them, so I wasn't sure if they were part of the table extention process. I finally decided they weren't, but it was another problem to solve.Completion: The instructions say it takes 2 people. Believe them. This is a heavy table. Plus, while it looks to me as though the table will be very solid upright, getting it upright looks iffy. I'll need a neighbor to hel me turn it upright. I don't thing the legs would stand the weight at an angle while I personally grunted it onto its side and then upright.Observations: The instructions show that you have to unscrew a block of metal to allow expanding the table to drop in the center leaf. But my table came with 2 latches, which seem a lot easier. Some parts of this table are well-designed. I could have built this better myself and cheaper. I got lazy and bought it impulsively. I regret it, but have it now. Conclusion: The table will be good when uprighted (carefully). And I think I'm going to like it. But if you don't want to spend days fighting with assembly, you probably should have a store-bought table delivered (and assembled by professionals. if required) This has been a week of frustration.Seems like a good table I will enjoy, but getting it assembled is not for the weak of heart... LOL!

Very poor quality. Avoid

Where to begin. First, take instructions and throw them away. Totally useless. The instructions had everything labeled with letters, but only two of the legs had NUMBERS! Screw holes didn’t line up. Took me HOURS to finally assemble. The table is solid feeling and nice looking but there were THREE defects in the finish (see pictures) and overall very poor quality. Avoid this as I sincerely regret this purchase.

Nice and sturdy table

Arrived in good condition with just a few scuff marks that I don’t care about much. The instructions made sense and was easy to assemble for the most part. Looks nice and sturdy!
