Griffin PowerDock Dual-Position Charging Station for iPhone 4 & 4S, iPod Touch, iPod Nano (Silver)

****Update: After 2 months, I LOVE this product and am buying a second for my wife. We've decided the iPhone5 doesn't offer enough motivation for change - especially with the new dock connector. With my 4s Case-Mate I did have to adjust it each time I docked it. I love the base though so much I ditched my case and it works perfectly now and I don't miss my case. My wife uses the same 4s case and will likely keep hers so I expect it to be the same, work with a little adjustment each time docking.****I hate cables and clutter so I was on the hunt for an upright charger that worked with a combo of iPhone 4s' and/or and iPod.We just received this yesterday so my review for the time is ONLY about the initial product, ease of use and achievement of my goal.My iPhone 4s with Case-Mate CM015473 Pop Case for iPhone 4 / 4S - White/Cool Grey seems to work fine. I do notice that if it tilts one way or another, I have to lift and reconnect. That could just be the case blocking the seat a pinch but I'm not interested in pulling the case just to charge.Our iPod Touch 3rd works great with the #14 adapter and seems to seat well each time.So we'll see how it performs, but right now I am THRILLED to have an upright charger for the last 2 devices on my desk. With two iPads (both original and iPad3) on upright Apple charging bases behind this, I have less desk clutter.The ONLY thing I missed and initial disappointment was that it doesn't have a USB option to connect to my Mac. After thinking about it though, I have full power from the outlet to them and all of our devices are set to sync to iTunes wirelessly so it's really no love lost. In fact, because of this realization, I am going to drop the USB from the iPads and send them to the outlet too - better power and even less clutter above the desk.So if you're like me and hate clutter, this is worth a trial.I'll probably give it a month or so and then buy another for my wife to put in the kitchen where she normally cables her phone. That's right, less clutter, plus the kids and I will have 1 extra space to dock a phone/iPod away from my desk. Me like.

Great idea..... charge all the different types of ipods and charge them at once. We have three ipods in our house. This unit worked one time and I was excited but it went downhill from there. You have to put the ipod on and wiggle it around to get the connection to work and charge. Didn't realize this until AFTER it was sitting on there for what seemed like hours only to have absolutely no charge. Wiggling it around seemed to defeat the purpose and worried me that I'd loosen the connection even more or possibly break something. I'm much better off just using the Apple USB cord that came with the Ipod and charging it through my computer. Better yet, I bought a wall charger at a "Big Box" store that you can plug two USB cables into. You still have to use your Apple USB cords but can charge two Ipods at once. Much better, more portable (we need to bring it with us when we travel) and much more reliable. Product is a great idea.... just needs to be better made.

I was looking for a dual docking station that would accomadate an Iphone (3GS) and an Itouch at the same time and look attractive without taking up a lot of space. And hoped it wounldn't fall off the counter from being so small. I didn't want to scar up the oak table that I would be sitting it on near the door either. The padded no-slide bottom works great. I read the reviews about the adapters for the different Iphones and Ipods that come standard with it, so they fit tight when placed in this unit. The wife has a standard cover on her Iphone and I have nothing on my Itouch. I did use the adapter for the Itouch, but did not find I had a perfect fit on the Iphone with the attachments provided. It wasn't a problem though, it fits just fine for both without it and works just fine with the cover on the Iphone. I'm pleased with it. It's attractive on the table, functional, I'm not needing it as a player for the room, rather wanted something close to the door when we come home or leave for work where we could charge our units up and it would be convenient. I searched around and this was the best unit I was able to come up with. Ordering from Amazon was as dependable as always, quick delivery on this unit, and this was perfect for our need.

The PowerDock is a great charger for my two iPhone 4. I did have a non-compatible device issue after the recent 1OS 5.1 update, but Griffin phone support suggested a reboot while docked in the PowerDock will solve the issue... and it did!It is a good value for the money and I buy Griffin products with a high level of confidence.It does not come with the #19 adapter which is for the iPhone4/4S, but you can order it from Griffin. I bought 4 #19 adapters for the PowerDock, Sony clock radio and a Yamaha audio receiver and works great with all devices. The little backboard on the adapter helps support the iPhone while docked too.

I've purchased FOUR of these dual dock charging stations. They are fantastic for about a month each. Then I start to notice that one or the other dock isn't charging completely. Within a day or two, one dock completely stops working. Ultimately, both docks cease giving a charge. I've thrown out three of these units (the fourth was their old version with four docking areas).WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT WORKS BEYOND TWO MONTHS.

I got this product from US to use in India through one of my friend. It's the same as it is advertised with very good finish and build quality. While reading the reviews many reviewers mentioned about not able to charge the phone with case but in my case I could charge both my iPhones with case. I'm using Capdase jacket on my phone. Both the sockets are working well and both the phones are being charged simultaneously. I am extremely happy with this product and would recommend it to all the users having more than one iPhone or iPods. The only issue is that this model does not support iPad charging.
