Can I paint my pots and pans with this? Re-doing kitchen and would like to not have to buy all new pots and pans.
Can I paint now and put the parts aside, then do the curing process later, after my engine is back in service?
How high of temp can it sustain? says intermittent up to 2000°f. kinda ambiguous. can it do 1600f for 1hour?
Does this contain zinc to work as a good primer for aluminum?

Great Value for your Money

Decided that I wanted to do a little project on my Dodge Durango didn’t really wanna go caliper covers because in my opinion those are ugly and tacky but that’s just my opinion so I decided to paint them. These are great primers especially for high heat as hot as the calipers will get

Good product if you are willing to take the time to do it right.

Works very well when certain common sense best practices are followed. Clean the part thoroughly, that means basic and acid washes beforehand, rough up surface (I used 60 grit) where applicable. Once clean always hold part with hanger or clean non-powdered gloves, after first coat, the same precaution needs to be adhered to. Coats should be thin and consistent. Ideally I would not move forward to final color coats with anything less than two complete prime coats. Part of the reason I coated my exhaust is that I am moving to a winter salt state, soooooo yeah, coat it or watch it rust into oblivion. I tend to go overboard on everything, so the whole system has 4-6 coats of primer depending on location and base metal, with 1-3 curing cycles (where possible), prior to color coats. Coverage is actually pretty good. After the priming process I sanded again after curing but prior to final color coat. I used black, but I imagine most colors (which are in no way true to color expectations or vibrancy... this stuff isn't jet-hot) will hold up the same depending on application and part cleanliness throughout the process. If applied and cured properly I see no reason why flaking, delamination, or "chipping" should be too much of an issue within reason. I'm a year into this job and as of my last oil change, I was able to fully inspect my work and found none of the above. I am happy with the product so far and it worth noting, this is NOT a thermal coating, it is purely protective.... and i suppose aesthetic for some. Time consuming to do right, but if the purpose is to protect your investment, well, take the time and do it right. Can you just go to town on an exhaust part and throw it on the car? Sure. Will it be as durable? Probably not. Take all of this as you will.

Took some coats but worked well in an incinerator

I have a garbage can type incinerator that AI use frequently. (It's far superior to using a fire pit) and after a ot of use I noticed some rust starting to appear. I need this item so I immediately took action to make sure it was properly repaired.. I was so happy that I found it and would gladly recommend it.

Good high temp primer

Great high temperature primer. I used this one on my car’s calipers prior to applying the paint. This gives you a nice matte finish to apply the paint over. Can’t speak on the longevity but my calipers looking fresh

Sand first, paint later

Sprayed nice and left a clean finish on my burn barrel. Did a fire a few days later and no issues with the heat. Unfortunately I slacked on the prep and the surface rust is coming through after a rain. Lesson learned. Will sand it all down and buy another can and try again

Best rust preventer for exhaust pipes.

This a great high temperature ceramic type paint to prevent rust on new car/truck exhaust pipes and mufflers. But you must follow the baking/curing procedure to get the full protection. "Allow paint 3 hours to dry before starting the engine. Step 1: Run engine at idle for 10 minutes and then allow 20 minutes to cool. Step 2: Idle the vehicle for 20 minutes and then allow 20 minutes to cool. Step 3: Run vehicle at normal operating conditions for 30 minutes, then allow vehicle to cool." The PDF has the instructions.
