THE WEDGE FRAME BARS: Profile thickness of 17x26mm (side height x width). Wood from sustainable forestry. The wood is free of knots & resin pockets and provides a solid, dimensionally stable base for covering. We manufacture the stretcher frames traditionally with the typical outer bulge, which prevents the canvas from lying on the stretcher frame wood and thus enables an even application of paint. The stretcher frame construction makes it possible to adjust the tension of the canvas by wedging. THE CANVAS FABRIC: Has a medium-fine structure and is pre-treated with Gesso universal primer. In order to obtain a uniform, durable tensioning result and insensitivity to external influences such as humidity and temperature, we use a ±280g/m² strong blended fabric made of 70% cotton with 30% polyester, which is sted on the back only. Suitable for painting techniques with acrylic paints & gouache as well as oil paints. MANUFACTURED IN THE EUROPEAN UNION: Manufactured using stretcher frame mouldings from certified sustainable European forestry and fine painting ground from Italy. The stretcher frames are covered and sted on the back with a high-quality painting cloth with a medium-fine surface structure.
