Perfect kettle
This hot water or tea kettle is perfection. It’s sturdy, well made, very large, great loud and clear whistle, has a great sturdy stand up handle for when it gets extremely hot. The spout cover is great and can be opened even when it’s been boiling to make it easier to pour water or any hot drink out. Don’t worry about the spots I’m lazy, and don’t wipe it down a lot after using it. Best of all so inexpensive!!!

Great quality and price!
I have used this tea kettle almost every day since I got it in September 2023. It is incredibly reliable and still looks as good as new. I’m considering adding a new tea kettle to my wedding registry, but since this one works so well, the only reason I would get a new one is if someone gifted it to me! I highly recommend it—10/10!

Nice little kettle for its price point
This is a nice little kettle for its price point. It appears reasonably well made, and the classic brushed stainless steel design would work well in both modern and traditional kitchens. It has no frills, which is exactly what I wanted in a tea kettle. It's on the smaller side but has a reasonable capacity for a single person or couple. The black plastic handle is comfortable, and while it becomes quite warm, it is not too hot to comfortably handle. The whistle works as well as any I've had. A few comments that might help potential buyers:(1) The kettle is quite light in weight compared to your mother's kettle (or, for that matter, any of the other kettles I've had). Given its stainless steel construction, it will probably last many years but is not one you'll ever hand down to your children. And if you accidentally let it boil dry, it will probably be toast.(2) The lightweight construction of this kettle causes it to vibrate a bit from the moment you turn the heat on to the time you turn it off. It's not an annoying sound, but it's not silent. A bit like the sound of steam. For someone who gets busy and forgets they've turned on the kettle, this might be considered a feature.(3) The instructions that came with the kettle cautioned that it should not be used on anything more than "medium" heat. Undoubtedly that's because of the lighter gauge metal. Again, not a deal-killer, but it's going to take considerably longer to heat water than if you could turn the stove to "high" and let 'er rip. And if you're someone who, in a morning stupor, habitually turns the stove automatically to "high," this kettle may end up warping. On this subject, I'd wager that the several negative reviews for this product which mentioned the melting of plastic parts and the too-hot handle allowed the kettle to overheat.(4) There is no finger trigger underneath the handle that lifts the spout cover, as many tea kettles have. Instead, there is a plastic tab attached to the spout that is apparently designed to be pulled back with a thumb. The tab is at a sufficient distance from the center of the handle that most smaller hands would probably not be able to comfortably reach it. So as a practical matter, I'm finding that it takes two hands to remove the kettle from the stove, flip the tab back, and pour. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. All in all, I'm pretty happy with this basic little kettle. At this price point, I really can't complain.

Very nice little kettle.
I really like the simplicity of this kettle. The handle pieces are just made of inexpensive plastic, which is the only sort-of complaint, but I see no reason they would break or anything, and they feel just fine. I think that I'd have to treat it pretty poorly to break anything, and the reality is that it just sits on the stovetop most of the time. The whistle spout piece snaps closed very nicely. The top lid closes tightly. And I really like that the large handle piece hinges down. Since I'm traveling, that is a nice feature for storage and transport. It is also lightweight without seeming fragile. As to the size, it is smallish, which I actually really prefer (but it's not too small, it still fills my french press with hot water to spare), and it seems to be sized very flush with small burners/stovetops, so that's great. And with the very reasonable price, I feel like it's a great value for something that could last for a very long time. A++

Good, small, cute, economical tea kettle
Good, small whistling tea kettle.Very attractive. Brushed stainless steel with thick black handle. Very reasonablypriced. Feels lightweight, but sturdyLooks so good on my stovetop, matchesmy other kitchen appliances. Black & silver.Actually, most of the time my teakettle doesn't whistle. I do not fill it high enough to set off the whistling spout. But, that is fine for me. I can tell whenthe water has boiled from the soundthe boiling water makes. This is just what I wanted. My perfectteakettle is one with a plug in whistleattachment, but that style is not madeanymore.

better then expected. worth it.
I have gotten 6 kettles. this one has lasted me the longest. still working. they welded it well. and the seams are good and will last. Welded, not soldered. the other ones I got on Amazon did not last more than a month before they failed. i do a lot of coffee and tea-making with it. 5-6 pots a day. had low expectations and it out performed. worth the money.

Nice, Simple Kettle, but Use with Caution
The media could not be loaded. This kettle is light weight and easy to use. It is compatible with my induction stove. It truly does whistle with sufficiently boiling water. The kettle had a “folding” handle (actually, it lays to the side). While nice, this can present a problem as the kettle shifted position while I was pouring hot water. I am right handed, and with the handle laying towards the right, it was not too big an issue. It might be more of a problem for left handed. This could be easily resolved if there were a locking mechanism or latch that would keep the handle up when in use. When being stored, the mechanism could be opened so the handle could be laid down.
