Softbox Diffuser Kit With Honey Comb for Aputure Lightstorm LS 1S 1C / 500 / 576 LED Light Panels

This is one of the best soft boxes for a 1'x1' light available anywhere. The best part is that it turns your 1'x1' light almost in to a 2'x2'. Remember, the larger the light source, the softer the light! Most soft boxes available for 1'x1' lights do not actually make your light source much larger. Secondly, it comes with a grid that will make it more directional, which most manufacturers charge extra for.It deploys very quickly. Just unfold it. Open one of the velcro seams to fit it around your light, and use the straps to hold it on. Once you've used it a couple of times, you'll know how to get it on quickly.It will fit pretty much any 1'x1' light. I use it regularly on my Litepanels Astra 6X. I've also used it on the F&V K4000.Its very lightweight. To pack it away you just take out the diffusion which is held in by velcro, and fold up the box. You don't need to take the rods or disassemble it any further.It may not feel very rugged, but mine gets used quite a lot, and is still pretty much like new.The price is one of its very best features. You certainly won't find anything better for $50!

I just purchased 2 LightStorms which I'm using these with. So far, they've worked great. As some have mentioned, I do wish they were a tad larger, but overall they work really well and pack up easily.

Before I got a honeycomb for my light, I honestly didn't think too much about spotlighting. Now, it's my go to when I want to light my subject. Why? Because without it, it's VERY hard and quite annoying to flag the light and you end up with light spilling onto your background and now your scenes that much more uncontrolled. With it, I can light my subject directly and solely with this light, then have another spotlight to fill the shadows, then have a dedicated background light. This way, I have total control over my "scene". If you own a light panel that this will attach to, go for it, you'll be pleased with the soft, focused light.

A bit bothersome to install, everything else is great.

We love our Aputure LS1 LED light panel but this softbox evens out and softens the light very nicely, making it look much better on people. The included egg crate grid works but doesn't cut the light down much. It's easy to use and folds up flat. Really a must have for LS1 users.
