Researched mattresses to death and so glad I went with this one! Almost rolled the dice on a much cheaper memory foam with good reviews but this inner spring mattress is MUCH better for lower back pain. It took about a week and a half and all my lower back pain was gone. It stays cool at night and has just the right amount of firmness. Highly recommend!

Well, I've been sleeping on this mattress for a month, and it definitely took a little getting used to. I did see the word "firm" in the description when I ordered it, but given how much our 12-year-old pillow-top mattress had caved in around our bodies, I figured something a little firmer couldn't hurt. Plus I was waking up with neck and shoulder pain, and I wanted to see if a firmer mattress (and a new pillow) would make a difference. The short answer is that it does, but I am sacrificing a little bit of that plush comfort I loved to sink into.This mattress is VERY firm. But it's not hard. It's a soft firmness, if that makes sense. It's super dense and immediately bounces back into shape once weight is lifted off of it. It is a couple of inches thinner than our old mattress, and today's sheets are made to accommodate those pillow-tops, so there is some extra room in them now. It also is excellent at reducing the effects of movement from your partner. I'm a light sleeper, so I used to wake up pretty much every time my husband got in or out of bed, but I rarely do now.Bottom line, this mattress is better for my body. I'm sleeping well, and I'm not waking up with aches and pains. But I do really miss that "ahhh" feeling I had each night snuggling into my soft pillow-top. Ah well, such are the burdens of growing older and making healthier choices.I'd also like to give a shout-out to the delivery company, who called a day ahead to let us know they were coming, called when then were en route, were professional and courteous, and helped my husband get it in the house.

I bought this mattress after looking at so many reviews for side sleepers and back pain. The price was reduced a 40% so i decide to try it. Bad idea. For me it was uncomfortable and too firm. Its been a week and havent been able to break it in. Too much hassle to return. I ended puttung a topper to see if it works better.

The mattress is very nice and comfortable. BUT, DO NOT PURCHASE IT FROM AMAZON. The initial delivery was suppose to be 12/17/22. Took the day off of work to wait for delivery, nothing showed up. I checked my email, nothing from Amazon. I contacted Amazon and they simply said the item has not EVEN SHIPPED YET and no body told me. I kept having to contact back for any updates, nothing helpful at all. Then finally I revolved the problem by contacting seals to contact Amazon and received the mattress on 1/7/23. A few days after I placed the order, the price dropped. I contacted Amazon and they PROMISED me a refund of the price difference after arrival of the item. After I received the item, I contacted them. They kept me on hold and transferred me from one agent to another for like 45 minutes, then said oops sorry we don’t do that, bye. Absolutely horrible customer service from the chat agents to the higher teams, supervisors, to the delivery department. It’s like they don’t give a dang about the customer because they know they are a large company. Never ever buying a large item from Amazon again and warning all my family and friends about this. Even the seals team was so shocked at all of these actions.

When reading this review, please keep in mind that I LIKE and PREFER firm mattresses. I prefer to sleep on very firm surfaces. If you don't, this mattress will likely not be for you. Check the objective review from "Born in Kansas" for a review from someone who doesn't like mattresses this firm. They'll give you a differing viewpoint.So with that out of the way, first and foremost, upgrading to a King was a surprise. I knew Kings were bigger than Queens, but didn't realize by how much until everything was in place in the bedroom. It's HUGE! If you like your space when you sleep and are currently in a Queen, consider moving to a King ... if you have the room.As for this mattress, Sealy promises a firm mattress and they deliver. You can sit on the edge and there is almost no give. The support is fantastic. You could have the most bleary-eyed morning imaginable and putting on your shoes would still be a breeze.Lay down and you're not sinking into this at all. Surprisingly, your movements aren't felt by the other person in bed, either. Between the room this size offers and the way it dampens movements, it's a good choice for light sleepers. You don't even feel your partner slip out of bed to get a drink at night. A good test is to stack a bunch of books all over the bed. Even when the stacks get tall, they will not topple!The firmness will be a sticking point for some people. As mentioned, it's my preference. Same with pillows. This is very supportive, very little "softness" and very little sinking into it. It's good for my back. I've been sleeping on this for about two weeks now and feel great. If that's what you prefer, too, this is a solid choice.If you like a softer mattress, however, look elsewhere. You won't be comfortable on this!
