This simple, open fireplace screen has a sturdy frame, small mesh, and attractive design. The full-length piano hinges on the side panels work well and close the typical gap between the front and side panel frames that smaller hinges produce. This piano hinge helps block the errant spark that could pop through the gap on other screens. The screen is stable on my irregular surface stone hearth whether it stands flush against the fireplace opening or when the side panels are angled. The screen dimensions are appropriate for my opening with adequate extension to the sides and above the opening. This product is fairly priced and serves my needs very well. It has earned my high recommendation as a simple but very functional fireplace screen.

This works and looks good, but it’s very lightweight. For someone looking for something easy to use this will be perfect! If you want it sturdy around dogs or toddlers I would get something a bit heavier.

Wow- this was a surprise! I wanted a utilitarian fire screen and this one far exceeded expectations. It does the job and looks MUCH more expensive. The pewter color is gorgeous.

This was such a simple fix. Our fireplace has glass doors that send the heat up the chimney. The screen looks good, allows the heat into the room while stopping any sparks from flying out and fits well between the open doors with the side panels forward or turned around for a snug fit.
