Amazing lifesaver RV fan - if I can leave 6 stars
I bought this earlier last month but did not get around to installing it until today. Works well in my ford transit rv van.So far it has worked like a dream. Very quiet fan at all speeds in either exhaust or intake mode. Remote works great and the roof top automaticlly lift up. The built-in rain sensor makes it soild, trust me my old MaxxAir breaks so quick when it starts rain, even they can do "rain prvention". I am satisfied with 2012 and this is my first try, I hope I can leave 6 stars.

roof vent not working
It worked good for 2 months and the remote stopped working. Replaced batteries and still not lifting the roof vent up or down. Cannot even lift manually. Back and forth with the seller with no fix for the problem.

Read the fine print
"Applicable roof thickness range: 3.31 " to 4.13 ".It is suitable for installing RV roof fan for the first time or replacing old fans."Trim piece is not long enough for majority of RV's with "truss" type roof. Fortunately local RV parts house had one that was longer. No provision to get wire outside the frame, had to cut my own slot and cannot completely hide the wires. Also no battery in remote, yet they placed the pull out insulator so someone probably stole the battery at the factory.Seems to actually work pretty well, will see how it lasts.Sorry I didn't spend the extra money for "name brand"

I would not suggest it
No I am not happy with it. It still leaks on edges after 2 repair men have worked to seal it and the inside lip is too short for height between outside unit and inside part. Itâs about 2 inches too short. I would NOT buy again. The rain sensor is too low and when the self leveling caulk is applied it is lower than call. I had to just let repairman cover the sensor and I just wonât use that part.

This is very easy to install
I am amazing, when the hatch is closed, it can ventilate also as a "ceiling fan", inlet and outlet with fresh air, that what i want

Great replacement, Quiet and efficient
I just received and tested it out. I found it to be very quiet even at high speed, with a dBA of around 67, and 30 dBA at the lowest speed. This fan moves around 678 CFM on high, which is about 6 times more air than the OEM fan. The remote and fixed buttons are easy to use. The fan is reversible, so you can create a breeze in either direction. The rain sensor was a big selling point to me as I forgot to close the vent in the past and it rained in and soaked the bathroom. This unit will close automatically. It also has a rain sensor override so it can be opened if the sensor is wet. I wish it came in different colors... I still give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone.Update 10/22/21 I found it very difficult to clean. It would be nice if the screen was easy to remove for cleaning.
