RokuExpress 4K+ | Roku Streaming Device 4K/HDR with Voice Remote, Free & Live TV

I bought this for my parents.They were trying to use a laptop HDMI output to cast Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc. to their TV. Imagine hassles every time you want to use the laptop as a laptop. Hassles every so often because it won't connect to the TV. Hassles every so often because the laptop has internet connectivity issues, hassles because cables go bad being moved around frequently. And no remote control. Want to change anything besides the volume? Get up and mess with the laptop.Oh dear...This Roku connects to everything they were doing with the laptop, and has various other live streaming options as well. Apps for everything.It's TINY. It sticks to the top of their TV. It has a REMOTE (!!!!!) that works great, doesn't even have to be pointed in the right direction.It's been a few months, but from what I can recall the installation was straightforward. Mostly just plug in, configure WIFI, create an account, login, good to go.

Well, I’m late to the world of Roku had no idea what it was bought a small Roku TV for our RV because it was a really good price and just fell in love with it now we’re home and I’ve bought the Roku plug-in devices to add to both of my TVs at home it’s a great little gadget so easy to use. There’s no learning curve. You just plug it in. Turn it on. Click on your HMDI port and you’ve got everything at your finger tips.Depending on the kind of TV, you have depends on how difficult it is to get to your streaming apps we have an LG that makes it difficult to pick the app you want takes a really long time probably three or four minutes before you actually can get to the movie you wanna watch so this Roku thing is wonderful We really like it so simple and so easy. I would recommend anybody out there if you’re on the border of buying it or not get it. It’s very reasonably priced oh and I do want to mention we have three fire sticks not so easy to operate. Roku also has a microphone button Works like a charm. I never could get the one on the fire stick to work no matter what I ask it or what I said or how long I held the button down never never so needless to say most of those are just in a drawer. There’s no lag. It’s just a wonderful operating tool for TV simplifies everything And so far although we haven’t had it very long. That’s very reliable. I would buy it again if I have any more TVs, I’m going to buy the Roku brand cause then you don’t have to add anything.

I cut the cable and installed the WiFi myself. The Roku remote was a huge help. I didn’t know anything about Roku, there are several styles of Roku for streaming. But - I decided on the model that Amazon could deliver in a couple hours. 😀One wall mounted TV was streaming in minutes, the second one was a little more work as I couldn’t reach the HDMI port. I’m very impressed with Roku. I may upgrade to Roku streaming sticks when I purchase new TVs.

When they quit I just get a new one. Easy to install, (after 6-8 different times it is easier), and they always work well when they are new. I suspect power surges may be affecting the lifespan, so I plug them into a power strip. I think it is harder to remember to disconnect the old device from the ROKU account than it is tohook up a new one.

I've used other steaming devices and sticks, and it wasn't until I tried the Roku that I was sold! I ended up buying a couple more for family members and another house. The portability aspect of it is awesome.What I REALLY like about it is the snappy performance! Not sure why bit the other streaming devices that I have used, and same goes for my smart TV, they were all glitchy, laggy and often froze up requiring restarts. Ugh.I would have easily given this 5 stars, but the frustrating part is the non-lighted (back lit keys) remote!!!!!!!!!! Dumb. Fail. I ended up purchasing separate backlighted remotes but almost at a cost of what paid for the Roku to begin with.PLEASE provide back-lit remotes standard. No brainer.

We were trying to reduce our cable bill and decided to use Roku instead of cable boxes for 4 of our TVs. The installation was super easy and it is simple to use. We can still watch live TV using the provider app, but this is so easy we are one step away from cutting the cable cord completely.

Great streaming device! Extremely easy to set up and use. Has voice commands on the remote so you only have to speak your passwords to log-in. Simple to add, remove variety of apps (pay and free). Very responsive onscreen. Fast WiFi with it connecting to my WiFi router using 5GHz. Package includes remote with batteries, HDMI cable, and USB power cord with an adaptor to plug in to a regular outlet.

Roku keeps upping the game. This tiny unit puts out a great 4K video feed and the remote is universal so you can operate the tv and volume off of it as well. I was an early adopter of these streaming boxes and have always felt that Roku is the one brand that seems to constantly be a winner.
