The quality is exceptional however the battery life is horrible.
Lots to like about this product especially the GoPro editing software you can download on your computer. However as others have noted the battery life is horrendous, the covers for the lens are very difficult to get off, and the touchscreen is unresponsive. The quality overall is unmatched by rivals however it is overpriced for what it offers.

Fun 360 camera!
Great 360 camera, touch screen ok but a bit small for real use. Voice commands the best way to control the camera! Picture & sound quality excellent.

Best camera I've used so far
The quality of footage and ease of cropping videos is awesome. Everything done by phone makes this camera one of my favorites.

very short battery life
This is not a camera for a newbie. The videos are great but the settings are complex. Video editing is another issue. Battery life can be overcome by adding a cell phone type recharge unit designed to act as a battery backup. I missed shots of a center line run down the runway at Luke AFB and my loop around Phoenix raceway. 120 MPH on a touring motorcycle is something though.

not able to use as webcam
I like all the things the Max is capable of and bought it for a webcam for my macbook air. Wrong, Gopro claims that is will work as a webcam, but not possible on the mac air. Somehow they keep getting away with false advertising. And don’t even try to contact technical support...
