This book is on my must-have list for applied researchers. All too often, consumers of research reject qualitative findings because they believe there is no way to evaluate the quality of the work. This book changes that. Applied qualitative researchers would do well to adopt their framework for quality, which is built upon the solid foundations of qualitative epistemologists such as Guba and Lincoln. The book additionally gives straightforward direction for all the typical types of applied qualitative research such as focus groups, interviews, and ethnography. If only all applied qualitative researchers were to use this framework, we would never again face doubts about qualitative rigor. I highly recommend this book.
