The ability to re-key to existing locks is a huge money saver so you can still use your old key from other locks in your house. Otherwise you're looking at replacing all the other locks if you want to use a single key. Fast and easy to re-key.It fits perfectly and the way it's designed, the exterior plate surrounding the lock mechanism gets "sucked in" very firm and weather tight when screwed down tight from the interior side.My only complaint... Most deadbolts visually indicate from the interior, the door is locked by the interior handle in a horizontal position, indicating the bolt is in the striker plate. This one is opposite and no easy way to change it as the bar that fits through both handles is keyed in an odd shape so it can't be changed. The result is, in a vertical position the dead bolt is in and you're locked up.

Until today, I have never given a review.This one is justified.Ordered a Smart Key Dead-Bolt lock and it arrived with keys that did not work. I responded immediately. The following day my replacement arrived, before noon. I checked the lock/key sync, and then drove to Whole Foods and dropped off the first lock & keys.Never had a return go that painlessly.The BAR has been set.Sincere Thanks,Zeauo

Ordered this deadbolt to use with my Simplisafe Smart Lock and it was perfect! Super easy to install with only a screwdriver. I have not yet explored the smart key option as it more than likely will not be needed as my door will be opened using Simplisafe's pin pad. But I bought a second one to use on another regular door so I will explore the smart key option then.I highly recommend it.

Had to buy all new doorknobs for the whole @%&# house for the spouse, to match the new front door knob set. A few pretty pennies later and a little work and we now have much nicer knobs throughout. This includes this deadbolt...

Ok... I - the very same person who learned that you can indeed set a toilet on fire and who tries to avoid "handyman type" jobs - was able to install this easily and in maybe a ten minute period, if that.And I didn't read the instructions either.It was that easy.It works like a charm, I LOVE the texture (it feels expensive) and it does its job perfectly.I did have to ask someone to put the two screws into the plate that goes opposite of where the lock is, because no plate had ever been installed there. But it worked fine until that was done.Highly highly recommended!

This lock was of the exact high quality as described. It was exactly what I wanted (with respect to quality and color), and it was cheaper then at the local big box home center (who didn't have this exact lock in stock anyway). The big box store tried get me to order on line from them 3 to 7 days delivery. Amazon got it next day. You decide.

This product was easy to install. Came on time. And literally took me 5 minutes to put together. The lock is stiff and durable. And the keys work. So works for me for our safety.

First lock as pictured was not bronze . Amazon got me a quick new one out the next day and it works great and is actually bronze. However now I have to pay a dollar to ship back incorrect item

I also like that it didn’t come in a huge wasteful package. Everything necessary was there and we now can get into our house - the last electronic lock broke!

As others have mentioned, the picture shows a smartkey lock, but the locks shipped do not have the smartkey feature.
