I'm writing a short review hoping another buyer doesn't make the same mistake and deal with the hassle of returning a large area rug. First, the quality of these rugs for the price is A+ so if you find the right color - I'd highly recommended purchasing a Safavieh, no question.But, their coloring system is a little bonkers. Each style has its own color name even though it's often the same material. I struggled between the Paris Shag in "Ivory" and the Venice Shag "Pearl" as photos from Safavieh and reviewers are inconsistent. The challenge with both of these high-sheen rugs is that light is going to reflect different shades of the same color so variations are to be expected. However, in the case of both Ivory and Pearl -- to me they are much closer to a creme than white.My photo shows a $2K rug that I'm trying to match; this rug is labeled as "Natural" -- not pure white. Depending on the direction of the light, will look ivory / pearl. I've put my wife's jewelry up to it to confirm that Safavieh's naming system isn't accurate. When you compare that rug with Safavieh's Ivory, it's clear that Ivory looks very creme and almost pinkish under morning sunlight.I'm reordering a New Orleans Off-White in hopes that it will be closer to the Natural that I'm trying to match from a high-end dealer. All-in-all a great rug manufacturer and very high quality but their coloring system is hard to judge online.

I agree with what most positive reviewers are stating. It sheds a tiny bit as do all shag carpets but not excessively, yes you need to weigh down the edges and it does smell a bit for a few days. It's very silky and luxurious and gives a high impact for a fairly low price. The silver is beautiful; the colour varies as the nap lifts but is not metallic or cheap-looking, just lustrous. Because it's so large and HEAVY (I bought 10x14), I ordered a sample 2x3 to try it out and returned it for full refund when I ordered the correct size. Full size is even nicer than the sample. I don't think the large size needs an underpad as it doesn't slip around and is plush and the binding doesn't show on larger sizes but smaller sizes will definitely have issues on both counts. You do feel the plastic lumps that encase the tufts so 1/8" or 1/4" underpadding may help a bit if you walk barefoot on it. I suggest you wait and try it first before ordering underpadding as good ones are kind of expensive. As happy as I am with the carpet, I'm dismayed that 2 weeks later it's listed for over $150 less than I paid! I'm hoping I can get a price adjustment.

I order lots of things from Amazon and I’m somewhat lax about writing reviews but this rug is so extraordinary I must share it . I was hesitant to order a rug just because you can never be sure of the color and if it’s going to “fit” in your home .But this rug far exceeded my expectations . This rug is gorgeous .. it is Hollywood glamorous . The ivory color glows with just the slightest hint of champagne golden I wish I could describe how beautiful it is . I have never had a rug that was so beautiful . Now it’s a shag long haired and it sheds just a little but after a few vacuums that lessens and . I would not recommend this color if you have toddlers or young children .. it’s the kind of rug that shouldn’t be inhabited by men in work boots or Toddlers /children eating on This color makes you want to take off your shoes before stepping on it . We take off our shoes inside so it’s ok . But aside from that , if you”re looking for glamorous it’s every bit of that .

I bought one for my bedroom and one for my living room. I agonized over Paris shag, Venice shag, or Luxe shag, but in the end chose this one because it was the only one available in both the size and color that I wanted. I got Ivory, which is a true Ivory. It almost looks two-toned, depending on the light, like cream+champagne. It is so soft and silky and luxurious and feels great under bare feet. I feel like a princess, and so does my dog who can't stay off it. Even my husband made several positive comments about the rug, which surprised me. The new-carpet smell was barely noticeable to me, and I really only noticed it at night when I had all the windows closed. I put a Veken extra thick rug gripper pad under it, and it works great to keep the rug from slipping on my hardwood floors, and I don't feel any little knots under my feet like someone else mentioned. I am thrilled with this purchase and they way it elevated my decor!

I ordered the "Titanium" color (picture attatched): Beautiful rug! Super soft and silky to the touch. I purchased this rug for my sons bedroom and love it. I was a little scepticale about the color Before ordering it because every picture looked different. I have to say I was very pleased with this awesom color as it does look different depending the lighting. I would describe it as a mixture between dark silver tones mixed with copper tones. Looks darker in regular rooms but lighter in a sunny room. It did not smell or shed for us which was a plus because I read lots of reviews stating that the rug Shedds. Our order arrived pretty fast but I have amazon prime so that was expected. The only negative thing is that it is a thinner rug so if you're looking for a cushion type of rug then this is not it. It's thin but very soft. I wouldnt recommend vacuuming it because it would be harsh on such a delicate carpet. Maybe just a mini hand vacuum or shaking the rug out.

I put the rug in my bedroom and it had a foul odor which I thought would dissipate after a few days. A month later I had to return it. It smells like a skunk and was awful to live with. Not sure if I had a faulty one? Too bad because it looked great.

Absolutely exactly what i was looking for and I couldn't be happier with this rug! I ordered the 3x5 foot in sable and it matches my decor perfectly. Its silky and dense and has a very sturdy woven fiber back...nothing cheap looking about it and for under $100, it's beyond worth it! I previously had a white area rug in a similar material but it was impossible to keep clean, especially having 2 cats that loved to puke on it. Lol The sable colour looks like a light taupe from a distance but the colour up close is a mix of dark chocolate and light beige as you can see in my photo. Great quality and highly recommended!

The quality is fantastic and I love the size! It looks so expensive too which is an added bonus when it was such good value for money!

Living room area and ordered a runner

Der dicke Teppich wirkt sehr gemütlich und hat durchaus schick, allerdings wäre Polyester nicht unbedingt das Material meiner Wahl gewesen. Tatsächlich ist er aber ganz angenehm unter den Füssen. Nach dem Auspacken fiel mir kein unangenehmer Geruch auf, so gesehen ist hier alles okay. Wer es flauschig mag und nicht auf Tierhaar steht, kann hier sicherlich glücklich werden.
