Because of drawer it bows in middle.
Wood is like cardboard. Cracks easily putting together. Top has 3 pieces and have to be a particular way to go together. Extremely tight fit can and will slice fingers. Because of drawer, the table bows in about 3 weeks. Kept child off of it and just leaning weight maybe from or putting trains and tracks in drawer. Top gets spotty so be careful not to use a wet rag or wipe to wipe it off. Returned it. Found a better one that seems like it won't do that and will hold up better.

A mom’s honest review: KidKraft Wooden train table. A Timeless Toy That Keeps on Giving!
When I first purchased the KidKraft Double-Sided Wooden Train and Activity Table for my then 8-year-old, I wasn’t sure if it would be a hit. After all, he was technically past the “recommended age” of 3+, but let me tell you—this table has been nothing short of a *masterpiece* in our household. It’s not just a toy; it’s a multi-functional, imagination-sparking, storage-savvy wonder that has earned its place as the MVP of our playroom.**First Impressions: A Sturdy, Stylish Centerpiece**Right out of the box, the natural wood finish gave the table a timeless, classic look that didn’t scream “plastic kiddie toy.” It’s sturdy, well-built, and doesn’t wobble even when my now 9-year-old decides to use it as a fort-building base (because, of course, he does). The double-sided design is genius—one side features a train track for wooden trains (sold separately, but worth it!), and the flip side is a flat activity table perfect for LEGO building, drawing, or even snack time (because why not?).**Built-In Storage Drawer: A Parent’s Best Friend**Let’s talk about the storage drawer. Whoever designed this deserves a medal. It’s spacious enough to hold all the tiny train pieces, LEGO bricks, crayons, and random action figures that seem to multiply overnight. No more stepping on rogue train tracks or LEGO bricks in the dark—this drawer has saved my feet and my sanity.**Endless Play Possibilities**While the table is marketed for younger kids, my 8-year-old (now 9) has found countless ways to make it his own. He’s used the train track side to create elaborate train cities, complete with bridges and tunnels made from cardboard boxes. The flat side has become his go-to spot for building LEGO sets, playing board games, and even doing homework (yes, homework!). It’s amazing how a simple wooden table can adapt to a child’s evolving interests.**A Gift That Grows with Your Child**What I love most about this table is its longevity. It’s not a toy that gets tossed aside after a week. Even as my son grows older, the table continues to serve a purpose. It’s a testament to KidKraft’s thoughtful design—durable, versatile, and timeless. Plus, it’s neutral enough to blend seamlessly with any decor, so I don’t mind having it in our living room.**Final Verdict: 10/10 Would Recommend**If you’re on the fence about buying the KidKraft Double-Sided Wooden Train and Activity Table, just do it. Whether your child is 3 or 8 (or even older!), this table is a fantastic investment. It’s more than a toy—it’s a creativity hub, a storage solution, and a piece of furniture that grows with your child. And let’s be honest, anything that keeps kids entertained and off screens for more than 10 minutes is worth its weight in gold. So, thank you, KidKraft, for creating a product that’s as functional as it is fun. This table has brought countless hours of joy to my son and countless hours of peace to me. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a train city to admire!

Great value compared to others. Be gentle when assembling.
I just put this together. For the money (at least 30% less than the next lowest reasonable option), this is a great value. I did have some cracking in the middle support piece like many others mentioned, but it seems more than sturdy enough for a 3 year old if they don’t climb and jump on it. I’ll keep an eye on the cracks and may throw some epoxy in the cracks and clamp them, but I put a decent amount of my weight on it, and it was fine for now. I’ll update the review if it falls apart, but right now, I would buy this again.

PIECE OF GARBAGE!
Screws aren’t machined right. Particle board hole not drilled correctly causing breakage. If you have no repair experience don’t buy!

Well made
This table is well made for the price! So far it has stood up to the wrath of my 5, 3 & 1 year old children. It was easy-ish to assemble. I found myself wanting to rush the assembling process and missed a few steps because the directions weren’t all that clear. The drawer is small and can hardly fit a pack of magnatiles, so I’m not sure all my son’s cars and tracks will fit.Overall, my kids love it & it fits well in our basement playroom.

Overall Great, BUT
Over all it’s pretty great, HOWEVER, I didn’t pay as much as I did for it to come in the condition it did.It was absolutely horrendous and unacceptable.Opened the box it was shipped in (which was in very rough shape itself), to find all the pieces literally just thrown in there. Fine..Then as I’m pulling the pieces out more were damaged than not. Oh great. When screwing some of the hardware in, some of the pieces cracked. On top of all this- the 3 pieces that lay on top (literally the whole point of getting the table) we’re very warped and would not lay flat.Ultimately I was able assemble it with no issues despite the damaged pieces, and is actually quite sturdy. I used hot glue to lay the top pieces down (no intentions of using the dry erase side)- eventually I am going to measure and cut a single piece of wood to replace the 3 top pieces.Overall a very nice table-but again, I’m very aggravated and is serious bull crap that I received damaged pieces and it was all just thrown into the packaging box by someone obviously very lazy when I paid the price I did for a brand new one.

Good play table
I bought this for my 4 year old son whom always likes to set his toys all over my floor, plus on my furniture. At first he used the table for his train set as I had hoped he would. But that lasted for a moment. At some point, I believe he will return to the table with his toys - not his food or even his feet lol! But I was impressed by the size of this table. I was looking for something wide enough and easy enough for my son to access, plus the good price. Despite, that my son is already starting to destroy the thing (go figure), it's definitely worth the money in my opinion. The only downer is either I screwed the drawer installing up, or whomever built the thing screwed measurements up a little. The putting together was fairly simple and I did it all on my own. It's also light to move around. But unfortunately, because of the minor screw-up either on my part or the company's, the drawer front doesn't stay on too well. Other than that, no complaints.
