Yay! This actually works with my Mac!
I've been through two external CD writers that have been defective, or didn't work with my MacBook Pro. Was so happy that this one actually did!It's pretty easy to use. Plug into USB, insert a CD, and you're good to go. I appreciate that this unit includes an adaptor for USB C as well.If you have a Mac, it's important to note that initially the unit won't show up on your computer. After you put a CD in, it should show up in finder.I've been able to write CDs and import files as well. Fingers crossed it keeps working!

Needed a DVD for my laptop
We bought a new laptop. It's one of the finest and lightest Windows laptops available. But it seems like modern laptops no longer have DVD players. This USB DVD player/writer is exactly what we needed. Its very light and compact.To use is, just plug in the USB into the USB port on the computer. Wait till the computer recognizes the player and you're set to go.The player comes with both a USB 3,0 and a USB 3.0 type c interface.I don't think you can beat this for the price.

It works.
What is there to say. You plug it in, wait a few minutes for the computer to recognize it and you're good to go. I needed it to install a few older programs on a new laptop and it worked like a charm. Can't beat the price, if I could have, I would have and you would be reading this review on a different drive. đź‘Ť

An excellent solution for laptops without a Disc Drive.
I ordered this product for a laptop without a Disc Drive and, not only did it arrive early, it was easy to hook up and use. It was hooked up as soon as it arrived and it didn't take long before it was reading our DVD. It also does a really good job at reading and installing our old computer games. I'm really happy with my purchase.

CD Burner
My burner on my ten year old Mac quit working. This is a great replacement. No problem burning music CDsI highly recommend this product. Remember not to place the cd in until you are ready to burn and be patient with the slot opening. You may have to press the button a couple of times.

Runs right out of the box
As soon as I connect it to my laptop, it begins running with the DVD or CD inside. Very good if your computer doesn't have a disk drive already.
