Are these gauranteed to be from XY series?

No, the ones that I ordered had 2 from Sword & Shield and 1 from XY.

About how many cards does each one hold?

Not an exact answer but my son has over 1000 cards in 3 boxes with room to spare in each box. I would say approx 400 cards per box.

Will it fit top loaders?

Yes, sleeves and plastic boxes, but it is tight but not bulging.
