Lots of hard songs
Loved it and it's very thick and the pieces are something I'll be working on for months which is great cuz I didn't want to practice too easy of songs

Good overview of the repertoire
This book contains a wide range of what's considered the best repertoire by the giants of classical music. It contains classic works both written for the violin as well as transcriptions of famous melodies such as Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Ode to Joy or Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca. It's nice to be able to have it all in one fairly lightweight book instead of having to carry around disorganized piles of individual parts - and saves me having to dig through my music collection when I want to review a particular piece. For advanced students and professionals it could be very handy for playing solo gigs, for sight-reading, and for having a handy review collection of the major works of the repertoire in one book.An intermediate student (one who's playing or about ready for Vivaldi concertos) would probably have a lot of fun both learning the rep in this book that's at their level, exploring/sight-reading the famous themes, and also having their hands on some of the most dramatic but challenging music for the violin without having to spend a fortune. Certainly a teacher could easily point at several works in here and show the student just how valuable practicing their 3rds and arpeggios is.I would say the level starts at intermediate. There are maybe a handful of pieces that could be played by a beginning student but the majority runs intermediate through advanced, including up to some of the most difficult rep such as the Tchaikovsky Concerto or Schuberts Erlkonig. The book is fairly light on editing in terms of fingerings and bowings. Standard slurs and bowings that would be found in the manuscript are included in the rep for violin, however in most cases in the transcriptions of melodies originally for piano the author leaves fingerings and bowings up to the player. Students who want to teach themselves this music should be comfortable coming up with their own fingerings in various keys at least up to third position to enjoy the intermediate rep in this book.Advanced students will already be able to do this and I imagine probably won't mind, and it could be considered an advantage as a sight-reading source or a relatively clean slate for players to add their own preferred interpretation. But to me its biggest advantage is it contains pretty much all the rep I want to review or play at a solo gig in one inexpensive book, and when you’re lugging instruments and stands and music around it’s quite nice to not be juggling or making copies of 50 some different parts.

This babies thicccch!
Omg, the pages are so crisp and white! I don't even want to open it 😍! Its honestly much thicker than I thought it was going to be too. I was expecting the typical magazine width music book. Nope! This thing is a novel of beginner music! So many more pieces than I thought there was going to be! This is definitely a steal for the price. Very nice quality! My only complaint is a silly one. The book is so thick that it will most likely be impossible to hold it on a stand, thus I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to work on my music writing skills. But that's ok! I like to annotate my music anyway, so having a separate copy to go note crazy with sounds like a great idea.I 100 percent suggest getting this for any aged player from beginner to intermediate.

I'm sorry, but I cannot in good faith recommend this self-published, unedited book
This is a self-published book that was printed right before being shipped to me, and it contains numerous errors, including two pieces written in alto clef, and other pieces that aren't even finished. The table of contents font is so big it hurts my eyes, as if I accidentally zoomed in too far on a Word document, and its contents span 5 pages when it could easily fit on two or even one. The font sizes randomly change between each piece, which is disorienting when flipping through the book, and numerous pieces have several measures of rest written out (as opposed to combining them into a multi-rest like any reasonable sheet music publisher would do).I've not personally verified the accuracy of the transcriptions, but if the producer couldn't be bothered to ensure all the pieces in this book were complete and in the right clef before selling, I can't imagine how many actual transcription errors there could be in the pieces themselves. This feels to me that someone just went through a library of public domain music, copied them for various instruments (and couldn't keep track of them all), and threw them into a single document to print at their local print shop to distribute for profit. If you're looking for a collection of popular sheet music, I strongly encourage you to seek out a book produced by a verified publisher to avoid pitfalls like this.

Not recommended
I too received a copy that had a few pieces in alto clef, strangely arranged and edited, and all in all a disappointing book, but a good chunk was alright; however, after seeing the book in person it was in fact a regrettable purchase and there are better books for classical music out there.

Almost perfect
Very nice book. More on the advanced side than the beginner side. A little smaller than most sheet music, but well printed and easy to read. The songs are in their original keys, no funny business there, and it includes all movements of the concertos and sonatas (except Tchaikovsky's concerto, which is clearly stated in the description). There are very few fingerings and bow directions marked; most pieces have none. The biggest problem - and reason I can't give this five stars - is that the second half of Mozart's Queen of the Night Aria is missing. That song was a big reason I picked this book over others, but otherwise it's an outstanding collection of classical works.

It covers music from the Baroque to the Romantic Eras.
I love the variety.

Garbage
This is a rip off- no musician arranged this book. Notes missing- incomplete pieces. Parts included for viola, not violin. A mess
