James was enjoying the good life, successful in his career and heading that way in the romance department as well. Then he receives a call that turns his world upside down. His her has had a stroke and he needs to come home. Home is a bed and breakfast family business that he 'escaped' years ago. James left to live his own life and get away from troubles with his brother, Tom, which ensued when both of them fell in love with the same woman. Reluctantly he returns home to find that things with Tom haven't changed and Reed Mill Bed & Breakfast is in financial trouble. When his her dies, James struggles between going back to the good life and doing the right thing by standing by his family. Changing Hearts is the story of a family working together through hard times while trying to heal relationship rifts years in the making. Review ------ This movie is a shining example of digging down deep! It's about outlasting problems and finding a way to make things work. James Reed (Bradford Johnson) is a successful California publicist with a girlfriend and a big promotion on the way. He has just gotten a major music star out of some trouble after his auto accident with his ex-wife by convincing the star to take some time off and not publicly commenting on any of the recent negative events. This turns out to be a positive thing later on for James. After his dad suffers a stroke, James is called back home. Unfortunately, James' younger brother Tom still blames him for leaving home and sees it as James' fault for his dad having a heavy work load in helping the family run their bed and breakfast. Things only get worse for a time, especially when their her sadly dies. James, always a smart thinker on his feet, finds a way to help save the bed and breakfast and he might just have found love to boot. Is moving back home the right thing for him? And can he find lasting peace with his brother? Although this one isn't for little kids, it will appeal to younger viewers too and we are pleased to award this inspirational movie our Dove Family-Approved Seal for all ages. It is a wholesome and yet realistic film which shows that forgiveness is possible and so is a fresh start. Brad Johnson is terrific as James and the rest of the cast is in fine form too.
