Great for rough coats/shedding
Love this! It's like a kinder, gentler version of those round metal curries. The teeth aren't super aggressive, but it catches the loose hair and slides it out. It has a nice solid feel in my hand, and the horses seem to enjoy the way it feels. Haven't had it long enough to tackle a fullblown spring shed, but I have an older gelding dealing with some metabolic issues, and it works wonders on his rougher coat. It's also effective at removing muddy, crusty patches after rain & roll sessions. The longest 8" size is great for the horses, but I would probably go with one of the shorter sizes if I was just grooming the donkey or a pony/mini.

It works, but it can be painful
I like this because it does work. Samuel does experience pain at times with this brush. You must apply some pressure to make it work and sometimes it's too much for him. We got the Kong zoom groom along side of this and the gloves and we use them all to help keep Sam's coat shiny and help with shedding. He's a 7 month old french bulldog and he sheds more than I thought he would. These tools have been helpful at reducing all the shedding. Once you get the routine down, it's easy to use. You have to use short strokes applying firm pressure. It's easy to keep clean and made with high quality steel and wood. This thing will last a lifetime, if taken care of properly.

Gets rid of surface fur/dander without tugging or irritating bumps in skin
Works as advertised. My dog tends to grow benign cysts so sometimes is bothered by more invasive brushes. This does a good job of a first run to get rid of dead fur and skin cells. I can see the difference in how neat his coat looks afterward. Another detangling brush or undercoat rake is still needed, but this does a great first pass of the external fur. It doesn't necessarily shorten grooming time, but I think with another tool it elevates the end result and keeps the dog looking less disheveled for longer.

Works great
This works great and recommend it to anyone who has a dog or cat. I saw this on a you tube channel called "girl with the dogs" who is a dog groomer and she recommended it. Im glad I got this. My dog likes it too!

5/6 Cats approved!
I have 6 cats. Yes 6! 5 of them love the equigroomer and would not let me stop. It does exactly as it says it will and did not disappoint me. It is quality, easy to use, a great size and the handle is easy to grip during use. It is also a cinch to clean.I have short, medium and long haired cats and it works for all. I saw an amazing difference in coat shine and health after just the first use. They all reacted as though a mother cat was bathing them because the teeth are roughly the texture of a cat tongue. My medium haired cat would start nipping at me when I stopped to collect the hairballs coming off his coat.It is a messy job and will make a hairy mess so do it in the bathroom or be prepared to vacuum, dust, lint roll etc wherever you choose to use this tool. It is well worth it!The only cat who rejected this tool is a short haired tabby who was bottle fed from infancy and does not know the joys of being groomed by his mother (I used a little tooth brush when he was little but it is not the same). He is my grumpiest cat so I was not surprised he hated it. He also does not shed or dander like the others and doesn't really need it.Finally it is worth mentioning that I tried it on my suede-ish couch and it works! It is not as good as a vacuum but it did take most of the fur off without damaging the upholstery.

Works OK
It strips some of the hair but not as much as a regular curry comb and is not economic for your hand or wrist. I think I'll go back to the old school curry comb.

Definitely worth the money!
I love this tool! We have chocolate labs and their coat was looking a little patchy with transitioning to their summer coat but after a good brushing their coat looks so slick and feels so soft! The hair removal was amazing and the brush is so easy to use!
