If you are in doubt, just buy it! Providine Iodine is a great general antiseptic in the house. Perfect for scrapes and small lacerations. It can also be used to clean skin around a wound or before a surgery. Stains normally wash off from skin after a few washes, but try not to get it on clothing before it completely dries. The best replacement for Neosporin (contains neomycin) that can give you allergic reactions (contact dermatitis) after prolonged use.As far as the brand, Betadine is the gold standard brand, no problems at all.

Great product for drying out of wound and promote the healing process, but watch out for the expiration date. You don't have to use a lot of this product on a wound, and this 8 ounce bottle will last several years, unless you hurt yourself quite frequently.

THIS IS THE BEST!! 10/10. I recommend this product to everyone is my right hand for cuts and wounds. It doesn’t sting, it doesn’t burn and it dries your wounds fast.

It heals small cuts very fast although it can stain your clothes. Better than hydrogen peroxide on cuts in my opinion. I bought amber colored 1 oz. dropper bottle and transfer some betadine to it. The dropper is a good applicator rather than using a Q tip.
