Not sure, I think it is polyester.

Q: Is this nylon or polyester thread?

Not sure. But if you use it for what's listed or something along those lines you should be good. For me it's leather, canvas and heavy weight clothes to be packed.

Q: Will 3 threads fit through the needle head?
