I am generally very sceptical of anything that promises unrealistic improvements in scars/blemishes etc but I had surgery 8 weeks ago and the scar is very tender when I lie on that area so decided to try this for the comfort rather than the visual appearance of the scar. It is very easy to cut and decide the length you need. You then simply place the sheet over the scar. The box says you should start using the scar sheet for 4 hours at day 1, increasing over 5 days to 12 hours before using it for 24 hours from day 12. I intended to try for less time but I forgot to take it off. Within a day I was using it for over 12 hours and haven’t noticed any irritation or issue- I’m not sure why the long period is advised- it just says ‘for best results.’ It does say don’t use until the wound has been healing for 7 days. I haven’t noticed any visual changes within the first 4 days but I am amazed to say it already feels much thinner. I have 3 port scars and two of them felt thickened and tender- they now no longer feel thickened at all or tender. Now I know I am using 8 weeks after the op so they would be improving anyway but the change was dramatic. I am not really worried about the visual effect of the scars but the tenderness was bothering me so I am very pleased.

Dermatologist's instructions I was given on how to use these - hope this helps:-only start using scar sheets once all the scabbing has healed/fallen off-do not pick the scabs (obvious but hard to follow lol)-use for 12h a day (day or night, your choice), then 12h without.-you can reuse the same patch as long as it has decent adhesion left.-use for at least 2 months 12h daily (for old or thick/raised scars 6 months+)This scar sheet has the same texture (triangles) as all the ones I have tried in the past but it has much better adhesion. I use a thin layer of scar cream and then put the patch on, had it on for 12h and wasn't trying to peel off.Some of the ones I've used in the past slide all over the place or even fall off if the skin is not completely dry before applying.The roll is very long so it's amazing value for money (comparing to medical brand patches that cost £5 per a 3x5cm patch or other rolls that are cheaper but really bad quality) - Would recommend this product!

My wife used this tape after a recent procedure after having previous experience of using this type of tape on surgical scars. It does work and it works really well in reducing both the effects of surgical intervention: inflammation, etc. and the look of the scar post procedure/healing. If you're having surgery then it may be worthwhile asking the advice of your GP/Surgeon as to whether or not this product would be useful for you post operatively.

Having had surgery three weeks ago and suffering keloid scaring to previous lesions was keen to prevent scaring.Tape kept incision site moist which I did not think was conducive to healing. Therefore after three applications discontinued. May be ok on older scars.

The media could not be loaded. I got it to try on my old operation scar, it is soft and flexible and comfortable on the skin but very sticky, so I took my time and slowly peeled it after 4 hours of usage first time round and realised it wasn't for me as it was pulling the skin while peeling it. Although it's an old scar and wouldn't damage the skin but not sure if I would use it for a fresh scar either without health professional approval. If I was using such product at home I would prefer lotion instead to apply on my scar and put a plaster on top so that it won't affect the scar. I understand that the silicon has a healing affect but I wasn't comfortable using it because sticky bit goes on the scar and it's hard to remove, not that it leaves any residue behind but I was worried that it would affect the scar as it was too sticky and pulling the skin while removing it.

This scar sheet comes on a roll so you can cut to size. It can be used on both old and new scars including surgery scars, acne scars plus more. It sticks to skin well, and it is flexible and comfortable to wear. I usually apply at night. It is really difficult to see if there is improvement as these things take time. It will not miraculously clear up scars overnight but with consistent use I think there will be a definite improvement.

This scar tape had been a life saver.I very recently burnt the back of my hand and this has saved me from keep catching it constantly, it is protecting it and helping with the healing process.This is really easy to apply to the skin, you just cut to the size you want, peel the backing and gently apply to the skin.It’s very soothing and the tape has a sticky gel type feel to it, once you’ve applied it you can’t even feel that it’s there and it’s almost invisible to the eye in certain light.If you need to move and re-apply it you can, easy to peel and leaves no sticky residue.This I will be buying more of when I go for surgery next year!Do not apply to fresh scar tissue, please wait about 1 week to start using this on your skin.

There is no chance this is reusable. So flimsy and sticks to itself. Washing it with soap and reusing will never work.

These silicone scar sheets work nicely, they have a good adhesion, can be re-used multiple times, and can be torn in 2 inch squares or used in longer lengths, up to 120 inches, just peel the tape off the plastic strip, the clear texture is nice, and it allows your skin color to show through, and even see how the scar is looking, and besides for a glossy shine when light hits it, you can't really tell you are wearing it.This silicone tape seemed to help with my scar, and I was pretty happy wearing it throughout the day, I was able to remove and re-attach the same piece multiple times, however they still are not as good as the big brand names, if you don't care about felted backs or being more breathable than these are the next best.I recommend, great expiration date.
