Great product with A++++ customer service!!
This product is extremely well made, comes in a pack of 3 traps with each trap having 2 packets of bait to use. The instructions were very straightforward - just cut open the packet of bait, empty it into the canister, add warm water to the fill line, then hang it outside using the included hook. It's been catching flies (along with some gnats as well) since the first day I hung it out. So far I haven't noticed the bothersome smell that others have described - but I'm also not about to put my nose up against it either. The other thing I need to mention is that one of my traps was missing its included hook. I sent a note to the manufacturer (their contact information is provided in each canister) and they immediately replied back to me and had a replacement shipped out super fast! I honestly don't recall having a customer service experience that friendly and efficient for responding to a minor hiccup. It's a great value considering it will last for weeks at a time and you get 2 bait packs per container. And it's super effective at catching flies. I would not only purchase this product again, but also recommend it to anyone else wishing to rid themselves of pesky flies!

A Backyard Game-Changer!
I can’t believe how well this outdoor fly trap works! We’ve always struggled with flies swarming around the patio, especially when grilling or eating outside. Within a day of setting this up, there was a noticeable difference—way fewer flies buzzing around. It’s super easy to use—just hang it up, add the bait, and let it do its thing. It’s kind of gross seeing how many it catches, but also weirdly satisfying knowing they’re not bothering us anymore! No harsh chemicals, no mess, and it’s surprisingly effective. If you enjoy spending time outside and hate constantly swatting flies, this trap is totally worth it.

Great outcome but GROSS to replace
WOW! Within weeks these things were full of flies!! I can’t even begin to imagine what being in our backyard would have been like if it wasn’t for these guys. Would love to convince our neighbors to get some as well! The ONLY downside? The replacement isn’t a new container, but a new packet (eco friendly, yes .. but…) that means we have to dump out this DISGUSTING fly water somewhere!5 stars on the outcome3 stars on the the replacement

Did the job
Setup was easy. I just followed the directions. I didn’t notice much of a bad smell at all. It did work. Caught so many flies. I think I would have to repurchase which I don’t mind because it worked. It’s worth what I paid for it because the flies were unbearable. I think it filled up pretty quickly so I went through two in about a month.

fly problem
These work great, they don't smell to good but they have solved the fly problem. Here in the south with the warm weather and the chicken coop and feed they were becoming a problem. I would recommend this product to anyone who is having a fly problem.

Flycatcher
The outdoor flytraps arrived on Ritter and in good condition. The are collecting flys ok. Not as many as advertised. But good enough. Using in conjunction with flypaper, flypaper getting twice as many. But overall I’m happy.

The odor made them unusable
These work, but the smell is ungodly and makes them almost unusable. If you’re hanging them in an area you aren’t hanging out, I’m sure they’re great. Do not hang them where you plan to spend time. I put them on my patio and ended up throwing them away after a few days because I just couldn’t take the smell. It also got to a point where the water level went down (after only a couple days) and I felt like more flies were attracted because of the smell but not as many going in/getting trapped so we just had more flies. I could have added water to fill it more but I couldn’t take the smell so I just threw them away.

Does it work, yes but at what cost.
10/10 at catching flies. When I bbq the flies are insane, this has cut their numbers down to practically zero. Definitely put far from any doors because it reeks. The downside is emptying it (which I haven't done yet and the only reason I’m giving 4/5 stars) there’s about an inch of dead flies in it already and maggots. I will probably throw the whole thing away and use the second one.
