Daler-Rowney Graduate 38ml Oil Paint Set, 10 Assorted Colours, High Lightfastness, Ideal for Student Artists & Hobbyists

These oil paints are fantastic. They're the perfect consistency for both abstract and detailed pieces and are of very high quality (you can't go far wrong with Daler-Rowney). They're considerably bigger than I expected them to be and amazing value for money. If you were to buy a single tube of this paint in an art shop you expect to pay a minimum of £5, so to buy 10 tubes for just over £10 is an absolute bargain! They arrived really quickly too, overall I'm very very impressed and will definitely be buying these again soon :)

Item arrived as described. Have not used yet but all sealed with tight lids and appears to be genuine

I bought these for use in weathering miniatures and wet on wet blending and for the basics they are really good. adding some colour variation and disterssing on painted figures and models is a breeze.I am giving only four stars for 2 reasons. The first is that the pigments are nowhere near as fine ground as i would like. when making a pinwash for minis i dilute black and burnt umber with white spirit but unfortunately due to the size of the pigment grains the washes tend to seperate apart and become grainy and the pigments seperate out into layers. adding linseed oil doesnt improve the situation either unfortunately so i would suguest getting a couple of tubes of windsor and newton artist oils for that purpose instead.The seccond reason is the poor mixing and in tube seperation of the paints. this probably wouldnt be an issue for a canvas painter who uses more paint at a time but i seldom use more than a pea sized drop of paint. the issue is that some paints are consistent and well mixed no matter how much i put on the pallette however others especially the cadmium red and lemon yellow tend to be seperated into colour tinted oil and paste with the consistency of half set clay and it takes a lot of effort to remix them to a stable and usable condition.For mini painting this is a great selection for the price (cant speak for canvas im afraid) though if you want oils for pin washes i would probably spend a bit more for some finer ground pigments. its actually a lot of fun painting a full mini with just oils though it is time consuming.if you are unsure about using oils on minis or just dont have lots of cash lying around these are a great tool to add to your collection though like me you may find after sometime that their minor pitfalls see you adding the occassional more expensive tube to your collection

Painting with oils is not cheap especially for quality paints, I found these are a great base set to have and good quality at a low price, great for beginners as well

bought as a gift for my son , he is very pleased with the quality and the price was great compared to others on offer

For the price you cant go wrong. The quality is amazing but I will say as a first time painter with oils it took 5 days for my painting to dry on its first layer mixed with turpentine. So what I would say is expect this to be a long process especially when doing the final layers and mixing the paint with an oil. I can only imagine it would take 2+ weeks to dry. Although this may be the case with all brands of oil paint but I couldnt say as this is my first set. The colours are lovely, very strong and vibrant and easily mixed with great opacity.

I bought Rowney paints and pencils for my daughter and I am now doing it for my grandchildren. I still have the long tin of Rowney colouring pencils from the 1980s and they are still going strong.

I ordered this item, and it arrived quickly, and is of a good standard. Unfortunately the colours listed are incorrect, with the displayed item showing an ultramarine blue to be part of the package, and instead receiving a pthalo blue. normally this wouldn't be a huge issue, but as i've been working wholly with ultramarine, this is really quite disappointing. i will now have to spend extra money to get the item that I'd hope to have received in the first place.

Il faut bien connaitre la technique de la peinturee à l'huile. Diluer avec un peu d'essence de térébenthine et ellle devient plus fluide pour ensuite l'appliquer Très bon produit

Conozco estos materiales hace años, aunque no es la marca que mas uso, son buenos óleos y responden muy bien en cualquier superficie que soporte este procedimiento.Seguiré comprándolos.

Non hanno nulla da invidiare ai Maimeri che ho sempre utilizzato sin dai tempi del Liceo (molto più costosi) ed è inoltre un formato molto conveniente sia per assortimento di colori base che per quantità tubetto. Prezzo onesto, ottima resa (vedere foto, ancora work in progress) ;)Saluti!

Sono una studentessa al 4' anno di liceo artistico, il prodotto è ottimo e di qualità, possiede molti colori tutti utili per dipingere.. ogni tubetto possiede 38 ml di colore ad olio( quindi molto di più rispetto ad altre marche)( come potete vedere dalla foto che ho allegato) un altro particolare che mi ha fatto molto piacere è il colore verde vescica che di solito non si trova nelle classiche valigette.consigliato a chiunque.
