The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my 11 year old grandson who thinks it's absolutely awesome. You can vary the speed with the hand held remote so we started off at the lowest setting then cranked it up to maximum, you can hear by his reaction on the video how surprised he was by the speed. This little boat is quick and very impressive for the money. Range was good and run time was about 20 minutes, the watertight compartments work well and it's self righting capability make it impossible to capsize. The only down side is the time it takes to recharge the battery. If you are going to buy a toy for your grandchildren pick something cool like this that you can have fun with yourself.

super fast speedboat that really goes fast! well built and an all round great performance. it has a novel battery hatch and is of the double sealed type so doesnt take in any amount of water, even if it is submerged or upside down at any time. it has a self righting hull type that gives a very positive righting moment which ensures it will always come back upright even after overturning or diving into a larger wave.

I've got a few RC speedboats, so was looking forward to reviewing this self-righting shark one from DeeRC.Initially, I was concerned that this looked smaller than expected, but actually it's just the right size. It was too big for the paddling pool that I tested it in, so it needs a decent sized pool or lake to use it on.This has a 3s battery with Deans connector, so theoretically you should be able to get additional batteries easily enough.The motor is brushless, which makes this ultra fast as well as efficient. You should get a good run time out of the battery.I like that you do t need to take the whole cover off to change batteries. It's simply a case of taking the fin section off, then lifting the smaller rectangular section. The larger piece is removable to check the motor, etc.The control is responsive and there's a large runner on it.Self-righting clearly works, as my demo video shown. I really can't wait to try this on the local pool. As you can see in my paddling pool, it literally flies.My only negative observation is in relation to the charger. It's a usb one, so concerts 5v to closer to 112v. This does, u fortunately, mean that charging takes ages. I gave up in the end and used my standard Li-Po charger, which was much quicker. Id definitely suggest investing in one if you intend to use this a lot and charge multiple batteries.Overall, this is really good. It's fairly decent value whilst on offer.If you're into boats and don't mind a bit of novelty with the shark fin and design (actually, it works well) then this is certainly recommended.

Worked well on first use. Then noted water inside the hull. Battery would not fully charge even after 24hrs + of charge time. Boat sounded battery low alarm within 1 minute of use on next 2 attempts. Last occasion needed to wade into water to rescue the stranded boat! Shame as nice looking product, speedy and my son really enjoyed it’s one and only trip out. Need to find a replacement Christmas present now.

This is one of the best, does not leak any water, it fast, and stable.

I haven't tested the product yet but it was missing a battery charger which is a shame. Will feedback once the field back is done
