A good replacement for the Pentair
Bought this pump as a spare. As a full time RV’er it’s always good to have a backup when out boondocking or pipes that freeze that supply water to your system.Didn’t think I needed it right away. Two months after purchasing this pump my original pump failed.I was referred to the Wassermann as a direct replacement for my Pentair. For some reason I thought that the 5 gpm would be better than the original 3 gpm which was around the same price. When my pump arrived I immediately noticed the motor was a 1” or more longer. Checked to make sure I had enough room and it looked good. Fittings were the same size and they also send a new screen filter and extra fittings and adapters. Not needed, but most manufacturers only send the pump. When I installed, except the motor was longer, everything was a good match. When I tested it, I noticed a flicker in my ceiling lights. Checked the difference in amps and found the Pentair 3 gpm had a maximum of 7.5 amp and the Wassermann 5 gpm had a 15 amp max. Oops, my bad. The gauge of the electrical wires were the same, but I guess the draw might be a little much for that circuit. So I’ll order the exact replacement and keep this one as a backup.Performance is good and noise is about the same as the Pentair

Jackhammer Loud!
UPDATE: Wasserman contacted us and offered a refund. Because of this exceptional customer service, we are upgrading to 5 stars. The pump works fine, but it is the LOUDEST pump we've ever bought! Still deciding whether to return it or not. I gave it 2 stars because it does work, but it sounds like someone is using a jackhammer in our RV. So disappointing!

A little noisy but gets the job done.
As a passionate RV owner who values convenience and reliability on the road, I can confidently say that the WASSERMANN RV Pump is a solid choice for any camper looking to upgrade their water system. This 12V self-priming RV water pressure pump delivers an impressive 4.0GPM at 45PSI, ensuring a steady flow of water for all my needs. One of the standout features of this pump is its performance. The water pressure is consistent and strong, making tasks such as showering, washing dishes, and filling up tanks quick and efficient. It's reliable and delivers the water flow I need to make my RV experience more comfortable and enjoyable. In terms of installation, the WASSERMANN RV Pump was straightforward and easy to set up. I appreciated the user-friendly design that allowed me to connect it to my existing water system without any hassle. The self-priming feature worked like a charm, saving me time and effort during the setup process. While the pump itself is efficient and effective, I must mention that it is a bit noisy during operation. The sound level is noticeable, especially in quieter settings, which may be a consideration for those who prefer a quieter camping experience. However, I found that the noise was a minor trade-off for the performance and reliability that this pump offers.Overall, the WASSERMANN RV Pump is a reliable and efficient water pressure pump that has enhanced my RV adventures. Despite being a little noisy, its performance and ease of use make it a valuable addition to my camping setup. If you're in need of a sturdy and dependable water pump for your RV, the WASSERMANN RV Pump is definitely worth considering.

Great emergency water supply and booster.
Using this pump as a pressure boost and reserve. Our park looses water and has low pressure often. I have water flowing into a tank and use this to suppliment the water supply and increase pressure. I use a solar panel and 12V battery to power the pump. We have had several outages this pump has helped us through. It also helps with volume and pressure for great showers.

2 Pumps FAILED within 24/48 hours
Installed one of these to replace a very old Jabsco potable water pump on my boat. I did use an input water line strainer. The pump worked great but then failed within the first 24 hours following installation. I ordered and installed a second identical pump, thinking I had just gotten that one-off bad item. The second pump failed within 48 hours. In both cases, it seems to be a pressure switch failure since the pump has power but does not try to energize (no, it has not blown a fuse). I am done with this brand. I am replacing with a Shurflo and hope to have better luck. Obviously it would get zero stars if the interface allowed.

Incredible upgrade for RV water pump!
I have a 2017 Grand Design Momentum 376TH - the big one. Originally came with the SureFlo water pump which I believe was 3gpm.Replaced original with this WASSERMANN RV Water Pump 12V DC, Self Priming Diaphragm Pump 5.0 GPM 55 PSI - and what a difference. The pressure and the amount of water is noticeably better, and a welcome improvement.Install was easy. Hardest part was getting to the old water pump. Unscrew the 2 water lines on each side of the old pump - disconnect the power and ground wires - and then hook all back up to the new pump. New pump can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and works just like the original pump did - only better.
