Suprisingly, it works better than I expected. My new go-to mounting kit.
Update. Suprisingly it works better than I initially thought. Use it when offroading in the bush or going through car wash to protect cable from moisture .... Primarly bought for the mount and cable that is a good copy of a Diamond mount that costs twice as much without the cable and antenna. It seems to broadcasts pretty decent but does not receive as well as a taller antenna, however, the difference in RX isn't much. I really like it. I took my comet SBB5 off and started using this style antenna on a car that goes into the garage and car wash often. Very high value product that so far, after buying two, I realize I would buy another just to get the cable and mount and use the antenna for off roading, automatic car washes and whenever I'm not really needing the best performance from the antenna.

Small (obviously). Lol.
Good product small and lengthy cable. Was able to hear everything clear as day. Don’t place on your hood bumper. Remember height is everything.

Good for UHF, not so for VHF
Overall an appealing antenna+mount made of good material. The system was bench-tested using a ground plane (TWAYRDIO UHF/VHF Mobile Ground Plane Antenna), because it would not be fair testing it without a ground plane which is supposed to be a car. The results of the VNA analysis are attached, the VSWR is very high in VHF frequencies, very good in UHF. The pictures show the VSWR for ham frequencies (V/U) as well as the sweet spot for UHF, which falls outside the ham band. May be a great UHF antenna for Ham/IG/GMRS users.

The big nut goes on the bottom.
The media could not be loaded. I may come back later after this two meter antenna is on the car and working with the radio. The thing came Without Instructions if any kind. Before it goes on the car there is a certain amount of prep that happens. The mount, as hopefully you will see in the pics the mount is pretty simple. But when the fancy flat nut is on the screw shaft to the outside of the ugly standard nut, and a reasonable person would think that’s the order that the finished mount would be. Nope. I had to take the whole thing apart to get the nut and shaft in there. Because the bolt in the hinge blocked it. No Instructions. Now, I made my living for a bunch of years installing CB antennas on cars, and never did I run in to such a non intuitive setup. I can only imagine what someone who had never done one would have done. Probably installed it upside down and had a gap between the actual antenna and the mount. See my amateurish vid for clarification.

Great and small
I bought this to be able to use mainly on road trips with friends. In the past using handheld inside the truck with stock antenna had horrible range. I liked the size of this antenna and it doesn't look obnoxious.I use a tidradio handheld gmrs. I have been reaching a repeater 25 miles away with my little hand held. Couldn't believe it. It works great.

Works great but the mount is flimsy and keep becoming loose on back roads.
The antenna has great reception but the mount is poorly made. It keeps bouncing loose on my jeep every time I take it offroad which kind of defeats the purpose of having it.Screws are small and flimsy and dont stay tight.
