I had one of those circle cutters from the big box store and the handle twisted right off. Bought a second and the same thing happened, because they are built like toys. So, rather than flush another $40 I decided to try this knife. Aside from having to kneel to use it, this knife is perfect. Just cut a circle and pull out the grass and it's done. Works like a charm and it's built like a real tool. I don't see having to replace it...ever. Even if I did have to replace it, this was less than half the cost of the cheaply made circle cutter. Plus, I just like knives. LOL

Does what it is supposed to do - Makes installing rock wool insulation a breeze. It is long enough for R30 and is short enough not to get in the way. I had my doubts that it wouldn't be long enough but glad I purchased this. I am into the job several pallets of insulation and it is still sharp and going strong, can't say the same for the installer!

Couldn’t find a knife at my local lowes so had to order this one to install rockwool.It’s a glorified steak knife in reality with two different serrations.It does its job but doesn’t cut as clean as I’d prefer. It left some connections of the insulation or ended up ripping so if it but it’s better than say an exactoknife or anything of the sort.Kind of expensive considering you can usually get these locally for $10 or less.Do like the belt sheath though and the comfortable handle.

Cuts through mineral wool insulation like a bread knife. Works great and I like the sheath too.
