I broke a fly rod that had sentimental value and was about to buy a replacement when I saw this product. I didn't think it would have a great chance of success, but I figured that $16 is a worthwhile investment to see if the rod could be saved.Well, it worked!The other reviews are on point, especially with regard to how long it takes the epoxy to set, but other than that minor issue this product simply works.

Love the different sizes of tubes. Didn't like the 2 part resin as it never dried completely. I have Mr. Resin (no mixing required) on hand and used the uv lamp, worked great.

So far this little Broken Fishing Rod Kit is the only way I’ve found to repair a Broken Fishing Rod. In the past a Broken Fishing Rod would just go in the Trash. Well, no more with this Kit.The Rod’s action will change slightly, as the repaired area does not flex. Otherwise, this is a great Repair Kit that is easy to use. You just need to follow the instructions carefully.

Good product just can't use for what I bought it for mabey on another rod in the future

The kit seemed like a really great deal and came with all that is needed to repair your rods. The only problem I had with it is the length of time the epoxy takes to harden. The directions in the kit did not have any guidance on set or cure time. I mixed the product 1:1 as directed, let it set 3-5 minutes, per the directions and then applied to a rod line guide I had just installed. I kept the rod rotating for about 6 or 7 minutes after which time I expected the epoxy to be set hard enough to stop rotating the rod. I found out that was not near enough time. Anyway, as I'm a novice at this, I don't know if this is usual or not, I suspect not. I do, however, know that most of the two-part epoxies I've used, do not take anywhere near this long to set up. Anyway, I gave the kit 3 stars based on this and a lack of detailed information on the set and cure time for the epoxy. As for the rest of the kit, I'm satisfied with it.

This works well , there is no instructions and the prices don't have all sized but I made it work

I've received product. It came in fine condition. I read the reviews before I purchased this kit...they made me skeptacle. Now that I have the kit I am even more hesitant to use. I believe I'm going to need to watch several videos before I attempt my repair...also, I'm not totally convienced that if I happen to get a decent catch on my line the pole won't simply snap in the exact same spot of the said repair! My thinking now...I wasted hard earned $$ on a pipe dream lol! ;)
