All of the wooden pieces are smooth and have been put together perfectly. I love the patterns on it. I really like the song lyrics on the inside of the lid, but it is so tiny, it is hard to read. The golden print and the heart shape of the words is a nice touch though. The crank is easy to turn and the sound quality is really good. I am very happy with this music box and would recommend it to others.
