Stainless Steel Enclosure, IP65 Waterproof Electrical Box for Indoor and Outdoor Projects, Includes Mounting Plate and Wall Bracket 350×250×150mm (14"×10"×6")

This was a very sharp looking enclosure. I used it as part of a smart lock and access control system that I built for a local AirBnB. They were extremely happy with the results.Naturally, there wasn't anything about this unit to complain about - it was solidly constructed, came with a water-proof seal for both the door and the access compartment below, the hardware to mount it, and it has a great price for the size and quality of the unit.My favorite part was that the insert inside was metal - so some seriously heavy hardware can be hung inside - which happened to work out quite well for me. There was also plenty of room to place a battery for backup power.

I like that this box is stainless steel. Should hold up to the elements well.The metal is thick enough to give it a nice solid feel. It's not going to bend on you.The door closes tight and had a thick seemingly watertight gasket on the door.The 'lock' really isn't what most of us consider to be a 'lock'. It comes with two keys but they are more like triangular sockets. The good part is if you loose that keys you can open this with a pair of needle nose pliers/vice grips.Comes with mounting hardware and a gasketed stainless steel cover for the hole on the bottom of the box.If I had a complaint (I do) it would be that there is no NEMA or UL certifications on this box. It is unlikely that it would meet code here in the States. That said, I'm only going to use this to replace a box that is showing it age (rust) that I have been using to supply power to 8 LED parking lot lights on poles for lighting up areas around the property including the driveway. The power feed to this is coming from the main breaker panel and has it's own dedicated 30 amp breaker. I don't need 30 amps to run those lights but I may add more lights later. It's kind of cool to throw a couple of switches and turn night into day.I consider this to be a good deal and I'm glad I got it. I shouldn't have to change this out ever again.

The 10"x 8"x 6" IP65 rated 304 stainless steel enclosure by Kwonong is made in PRC (china). The box I received had a imperfections in the welds for the seams. The outside seams were ground smooth, but the inside welds appeared to be very minimal effort. The enclosure had some spray coating for corrosion which I was not expecting. There is no UL rating provided for this enclosure. The back panel is removeable, so you can do your wiring, DIN rail mounts, etcetera outside of the enclosure. The bottom is a removeable panel with an included gasket. I would have preferred a couple more inches all around for the price.4 stars

This is a very high quality unit which I ordered to hold my excess cable TV/Internet wires entering my home. It did not have a back "cut out" so I could not use it as intended (I thought the picture indicated a "knock out" back plate - I was wrong. The box is constructed of high quality steel and is well made. The front open panel has a ground wire attached. The top opening would be fine for most uses. While I cannot use the box as intended, I am impressed with its high quality. The box opening is keyed and lockable (but not a high security lock) which would be fine for keeping out casual/ curious "lookers". Be careful that you examine its functionality for your specific use.

I used this box in my well house for all the electrical components. This keeps them sealed and away from the elements. I could have used a bigger one, but I managed to make this work. It was exactly what I needed. Very good box made well. This box is on the pricy side, but it works well.

Extreme heat in summer and heavy rain during the storm season is a constant here in SoCal. Plastic just doesn't cut it anymore. I am upgrading all enclosures around my house to metal. Much better than the ABS that tends to age in dog years under high UV exposure. This box is sturdy and will probably outlive the house. The welding and finish is a bit rough. For the price it's okay but if aesthetics are a priority I recommend moving on to a more expensive product.

I got this because I was looking for an outdoor box that would be durable. This box is definitely durable and will hold up to the outside weather conditions. I also like that the box is keyed so that it will be inaccessible to smaller fingers. I intend to use this for my landscape lighting. Great price for a stainless steele box. I would definitely pay more for this in my local hardware store.
