This is a replacement for the same item I purchased a few years ago which gave up the ghost. I like the way the saw plugs into the pedal itself, vice in the wire at the outlet like other (less costly) models. Also, the fact that the pedal can remain on or off after being engaged and does NOT have to be continually pressed is a great feature when operating equipment as it facilitates focusing on the cutting and being able to sit/stand comfortably when working.

I always find I need an extra hand for precise work on the drill press, so I went for this on/off foot switch. This seems reasonably sturdy, and otherwise works exactly as expected. Make sure you order the correct function - for this one, you push the switch and release it and your machine is "on". Push and release again to turn it off. The alternative is a switch you push and hold with your foot to turn it on then it turns off when you release the pedal. Just decide which functionality you want then make sure that's what you order.

Used for shop-vac attached to cut table for dust collection. Cord may be unnecessarily long for my purpose but easy to use and seems fairly durable.

This is a great foot pedal switch, especially for the money. I use it to run my pump when I am cleaning and sanitizing kegs for my home brewing hobby. I have my pump plugged into a Shock Buster GFCI switch in the wall outlet for safety. Before I would have to walk over to the outlet and press the on button on the GFCI switch and then walk over again to turn it off. With this foot pedal switch plugged into the Shock Buster switch in the wall outlet, I just press down to turn on the pump and it stays on, and then press down again and it turns the pump off. Works great! Get one!

This works perfectly for me, to turn on my dust collection system while using my lathe.I tried using an automatic switching system, but the auto system would turn off my dust collector while i still needed it. Now I can turn off the system when I'm finished.

I can't vouch for its durability yet, because I just received this foot pedal switch yesterday.I purchased a Bosch 2 1/4 HP Model 1617 variable speed fixed-base router, but was dismayed when the variable speed/on-off switch on my router table didn't work with the soft-start feature on the Bosch. What I didn't know when I bought the router is that soft-starts are incompatible with variable speed switches. I found there is much lamenting on various forums about this limitation.I can cope with controlling the speed of my router from the router itself, but what I didn't like was having the bit swirling at 18,000 RPM's while I'm grappling under the table for the on/off switch. So I started searching for on/off switches that would be compatible with soft-starts.I determined I didn't want an on/off switch that required holding my foot on the pedal to keep my router on; I wanted to set my router speed, then click the router on; when done, click it off.After searching Amazon and elsewhere for what I was hoping for, I came across this pedal switch. The price was right, and the features were what I was looking for. It also handles power tools up to 15 amps. So far so good, but I didn't think it would work.Yesterday, I plugged my router into the pedal, then the pedal into the wall. I set the speed of my router, turned it on - nothing. Then I clicked the pedal on, and lo and behold, my Bosch router worked! It turned at a constant speed. I was so pleased.Now, that's the extent of my experience with this pedal, but so far so very good. I'm delighted to be able to operate my Bosch router hands free.

I have several of these that I use for various pieces of shop machinery (lathe, etc) and I just bought this one for a new treadmill. They work great. I DID have one of them go bad after several years of fairly heavy use.

I haven't used this yet for an extended period of time, but so far this switch works perfectly. I have it connected to my scroll saw, and it performs exactly as advertised. Since I am using a tall stool at the saw, I will be building a perch for it so my foot can reach it comfortably. Thank you for a very handy product. Now my hands are free to handle the business end of the saw.
