I'm thinking Tervis is a better deal, lower price, dishwasher safe, and a lifetime warranty.

While Tervis' are technically dishwasher safe, the large size tumblers all crack due to having to be put on the bottom rack. I have four, bought at different times, and all have this issue. The smaller, 16 oz. and below, tumblers are all fine since they go on the top rack. From everything that I've read (and experienced), sealed, double wall insulated products don't do well in the dishwasher. That said, you are comparing 2 very different products. Tervis tumblers are just that, tumblers. They are meant to replace your normal drinking glasses. Yes, they are double walled, which helps insulate them, but more along the lines of keeping your ice from melting for a couple of hours or your coffee hot for an hour. They also don't come in a 30 oz. size; the largest is 24. Another factor is the shape. The 24 oz. Tervis fits my cupholder, but only if I take it out of the carry handle. I'm hoping this will be a better fit due to the shape. I'm also confused as to where you've found a Tervis for a lower price. The cheapest I've seen any 24 oz. Tervis is $15, with most being $20 or more. You can also find handles for this at about half the price of a Tervis, which bring the total cost to about $18-$19. Average price for a 24 oz. Tervis with lid and handle is somewhere between $28-$35. I love my Tervis, but in general, this does seem to be a better deal, hands down.

Question 2

Does the 30 oz come with a lid or do you have to purchase separately?

Inquiring minds want to know. Why does it not come with a non-Leaking, splash proof lid in the first place? Buying a tumbler and then spending $8 to $10 for a lid makes little sense.

Since these are made in Texas why do some of them say ship from China or Thailand? are these authentic?

Question 4

Why does the description say it is dishwasher safe, when the packing materials say to not put in a dishwasher?

I was disappointed by that as well when I received mine. “Dishwasher safe” in the description is what sold me on purchasing it in the first place... I have washed mine several times in the dishwasher now and the only difference I can tell in the lid seems a little bit of a tighter fit now - it still works great though and hasn’t changed the quality of the tumbler at all. Hope that helps. (It really would be nice if the seller would change the description though!!)
