All you need to do a professional guitar setup. Once you get into it you'll realize that most shops do a quick-and-dirty job, not that those people are unskilled, it's just that it's time consuming to get it right, and there's a lot of back-and-forth involved because it's always a compromise between a nut and frets that aren't quite on the money, and your personal preferences which, if you don't know, you'll find out about soon enough. Get a strobe tuner if you want to do it right. The cheap ones that light up when "you're on the money" are not on the money at all. Even there there's a compromise. The string attack will be sharp, and the decay will go flat, so you have to adjust it for your style of play. The tools are on the cheap side but they work fine. Some tools may not be there for your particular guitar. To move my Fender strings up/down at the bridge required a tiny Allen wrench, a size not included. (And to confuse matters, Mexican Fenders are metric, USA is imperial—so what do you think my special edition Mexican Strat was?—why imperial of course and it's easy to mess up those tiny female hex bolts, which I did and fortunately they were available right here on Amazon.)

I very much like the variety of tools in this small compact set. The, only, reason I have it at 4 stars is because the tools aren’t of the highest quality. No problem by me. For the cost this is an excellent set of maintenance tools that I take on the road with me. Actually even use them in my home studio.For someone just starting out in respects to keeping their instrument properly setup this set is a great way to learn the basics which will lead to inquiring and learning about more complex tools and luthier work.No complaints. If you like and enjoy working on your guitars this set is a very good investment.

very, very basic.. not top quality, but not garbage either..spend money on luthier tools
