I really use this to pull myself up, out of a tall bed. Bad knees and it steadies me. I'm 80, 220 lbs and this is very sturdy. Good for seniors.

As someone now with multiple joint replacements, this is NOT what I expected.Assembly instructions are really poor. I ended up looking at photo on box to see what goes where.When fully assembled, it is clear being taller than average this is just too short. I also don't feel comfortable with using this since it is not stable for me (I actually tightened the bolts the way they should be tightened)The hardware is inadequate.. it's not going to last and some had defects in manufacture.This is just going to end up being a plant support (repurpose as tomato trellis) and that's what it can do best.

Thankfully we haven't had to use it yet, but it is ready when needed. Putting it together was a little tricky, but when completed it was very sturdy and I know it will work without tipping over.

“Simple to assemble” says the website. If you are old enough to need this, it is not so simple to assembly it. Requires tools (phlillps head screwdriver and the correct size wrench that you have to happen to have, or it can’t be assembled (this is not explained in the ad). With the help of my son, we got it together and it is useful, but I was just lucky to have the right tools and the right son.

This is a very stable metal product that allows a person to stand, holding onto the top and locking the knees. Should be used with somebody else to maintain stability.

My only complaint is that this frame comes in a bunch of small pieces that must be assembled. Much to my surprise, once assembled it was quite sturdy. The intended recipient relies on it daily.

White this item appears that it would provide assistance to stand from a chair, it likely only meets that need when the person has strong arms. My elderly father-in-law has no arm strength, so he was not able to "push' his body upward to stand. He could only hold onto the bars, which does nothing to bring one to a standing position. The item is not held firmly to the floor and offers no stability on its own. Not for those who are weak.

After looking at the ones that fit under the mattress, and the fact that my husband is a big, heavy man, they looked as though they would not stay in place for him to get up. This is very sturdy and moveable so that he now uses it to help get up from his chair. I will get another one if the need arises.
