Top quality and easy to use

After much research, this is a fall arrest system not fall restraint. The difference is a restraint ties you close to the anchor point, but prevents a fall developing more than a couple of feet. An arrest system gives much more mobile freedom to work, but it lets you fall a long way, then slows you to a soft stop by about 6 metres..Falling from a high ladder?…this harness and arrest lanyard will let you hit the ground before putting the brakes on. It is suitable for very high work, like roof top or tall building construction where a 6+metre fall is the risk. If working from a regular ladder or scaffold, like for house gutter fixing or you need a close coupled restraint so a missed footing on a rung doesn’t become a death drop. This harness also features a dorsal securing ring which means more drop as the harness pulls up during use..Unfortunately these products on Amazon don’t make this clear to first time buyers. Sent it back and purchased instead a half body climbing harness with a front mounted securing ring at waist level which combined with a short 1/2m lanyard and scaffold clip limits a ladder fall to a couple of feet which is less traumatic for the body and of course…you don’t reach the ground!

This is fine, but I’d prefer a device which didn’t require a fatal drop before it became useful.

Really good quality, strong and comfortable. The gloves are useful and It perfect for the trees in my back garden
