This review has more to do with the sellers customer service than with the product, but it is a really great product at a very reasonable price.There was a very minor issue with one of the components in the kit caused by shipping and once the seller was made aware of it, they went well above and beyond to rectify the issue. I haven't had that level of customer service in quite awhile it seems.As mentioned, the product is great and at a great price, shipping was fast and product is packaged very well for those looking for more feedback on the item. Definitely a good buy.

Nearly every piece of the set has some kind of flaw, some worse than others. The separation funnel leaks, causing potential problems depending on what is being used with it. The thermometer has an air gap in the mercury causing the reading to be wrong. All pieces of glassware (flasks and condenser) has scratches and air bubbles in them, with the condenser having more damage on it and inside it. The only glass parts that do not seem to have damage is the 2 dropper bottles that came in the set.Wish I purchased a different one for 200 since to replace all of the parts will cost that much or more anyway.

Packaging is intense, but a few bumps in the road can’t screw things up. Broken pieces and parts or old.

This product works...if you already know how to set up distillation apparatus. Really needs some instructions for beginners. Comes with a standard Liebig condenser. There are better condensers out there.
