This recorder exceeded my expectations. It captures sound very clearly, even in noisy environments. The real-time transcription feature is quite accurate and has made it much easier for me to take notes during meetings. It’s compact, stylish, and very easy to use. I also love the voice-activated recording — super convenient. Definitely a useful tool for both work and study.

I was so excited about this purchase. I use it in a courtroom setting. The device is literally inches away from a witness and there are no extrinsic sounds to interfere with the recording/translation. The audio recording is quite good; however, if you decide to purchase this device and embrace technology with an eye turned to making transcription easier, this is NOT the device for you.It is going back. It only took an hour of use to figure out it is an expensive device that doesn't meet my needs...not even close. I hope this review is of some help to others considering an AI device.As compared to competitive AI recorders, this device gets a 2 out of 10. It is an outstanding idea. Maybe in 2 or 3 years the translation capabilities will match the expensive price tag of this device...

It's not flawless, but it is an impressive and usable transcription toolSeeing all of the mixed reviews about the speech-to-text transcription capabilities, I was hesitant to order this, but then I came across a $50 coupon for use on Amazon while watching a review video on YouTube and went ahead with the purchase.The automated speech-to-text transcription capability is pretty decent. No, it is not without problems, as it sometimes confuses words (such as breaking a single word into multiple separate similar sounding words), but as to whether this can be of practical use depends on your needs and expectations. For me, I was looking for a tool that could capture my notes, thoughts and ideas more quickly and conveniently than typing, but also seeking to avoid the need to manually transcribe my recorded speech, as my end-state target storage is plain text. Avoiding online cloud speech-to-text was also on my list of requirements.This tool satisfies my requirements: I press the red button, wait a couple of seconds for it to wake-up from sleep mode and start recording, and then stop the recording (pause button) and tell it to save ("Done" button). After capturing some number of notes over the course of a few days, I plug the device into one of my computers (this works with Linux and Windows) and copy the files over. The text is not great, but it is pretty decent -- well enough for me to understand any phonetic misunderstandings and correct the text. Only rarely have I needed to replay the original audio to make sense of incorrect transcriptions. Overall I am finding this to be a more efficient way to obtain typed notes.My only complaints are that I would like to see these improvements: (1) Better transcription, but it's good enough for my use-case; (2) Option to save to a micro-SD card instead of internal memory; and (3) Storing the transcripts as plain text files, instead of as some type of a Microsoft Word file, as the rich text is unnecessary and adds unneeded complexity.
