We have a small cabin being constructed. Its not time yet to fully furnish it. But we had need of a towel. Thought a nice microfiber towel would be best. Easier to wring out, quicker to dry. Saw this, and while its designed for wrapping around a head, it seems very suitable as a small bath towel. I wanted to try a different hair towel than I had been using to see if I liked it better. I have been using the turban twist type hair towels for years. This towel is very big...so I would say it would be really good for people with long hair. I think there is enough towel there to wrap around your head and keep the hair up and drying. I thought it was a little awkward for myself. My hair is just below shoulder length. I thought that this was just too much towel for my head, but I suppose it might not be for everyone. It is very soft, a good thickness, and holds a decent amount of the wet from your hair.

This microfiber towel is, as advertised, a brilliant, snowy white. I've been using a microfiber camping towel for over 25 years for both traveling and as a head wrap after washing my hair. My old towel had grown dingy over time, and I was looking for a replacement. I'm evaluating this new towel as it compares to my trusty old one; the closeup photo shows the two towels together.They're the same width, but this new towel is several inches shorter than the old one. That concerned me at first since I didn't think it would be long enough to wrap securely around my head, but then I realized that the sturdy elastic strip sewn in along one edge at the towel's midpoint probably had something to do with turbanization. The simple, pretty much foolproof wrapping method using the elastic strip is most clearly explained and illustrated in the Amazon product listing (a less clear version appears on the back of the zippered case the towel comes in). The resulting head wrap is a *major* improvement over what I've been doing with my old, strapless, slip-prone towel: far snugger and more secure than I was ever able to achieve before.The new towel is slightly thicker than my old one and slightly more textured. That extra nap gives it more surface area for absorption, and since the wrapping method is so efficient there's essentially no added friction between the towel and fragile wet hair. In fact, this new towel is probably going to be gentler on my hair than the old, smoother one that was harder to wrap and then kept slipping around and coming undone.There was no odor to speak of when I received the new towel, but I did air it out overnight before using it just as a matter of course. This towel's a winner. And that's a wrap!

I have really thick long hair, and this towel is the perfect size! It absorbs a lot despite it being thin, and has held up to heavy machine washing. The elastic band is so much better than tucking the tail in, and I definitely have noticed less frizz. It’s soft without being too soft or grippy like some microfiber fabric. I wouldn’t want to use it on my skin, but it’s perfect for hair.

I've used the turban-style hair towels in the past, so this one was a bit different for me. Because it's rectangular and quite large, it's more versatile and could be used as a small bath towel or gym towel. When using it as a hair towel you wrap your hair and then tuck it into the elastic band, which you position at the back of your neck. It works well, though at least for me it was much larger than I needed. I can see it being more useful for someone with very long or very thick hair that needs more towel to contain it, but it still works fine for those of us with a more average amount of hair.
